Deaths have gone up since 1 week ago today.

Even worse, NY deaths are way down from 1 week ago and we still have more Americans dying. We've pretty much all learned how these get reported in daily and weekly cycles and it's disheartening to see us lose ground this week

This is depressing, and such a long plataeu

As I said earlier in the week, the heartland multiplier gonna be big.

Iowa, Minnesota Nebraska with huge growth in cases.

No we dont, we've gone from testing 1K a day to almost 5K, that's why the numbers are up, the situation here is static, ICU numbers have remained steady for about 10 days with only tiny bumps up or down. And Iowa and Neb are only up because of those meat packing plants, the pandemic is not escalating.

yeah, prob correct

The timing, political pressure, and social unrest is not lining up well for a lot of these states. Some big sky states doubling and tripling

Mississippi still struggling as well. has it not been hot there?

None of that is true archie, none of it, positives mean almost nothing.

You are drifting away from reality here.
No, do you disagree that more testing means more positives? Up until this week, Mn would not test people who called their dr and said they were sick and think they have it. they were told they would not be tested unless they went to the hospital and were admitted.

That's the reality,

I agree, but wouldn't you want to know if you have it?

In Brasil its hot and humid, yet the outbreak is getting worse and worse over there

Heat and humidity is not killing this one all that well

Of course, and now those people are being tested. My point is some of you are looking at the case numbers and making assumptions that "oh boy, the pandemic is getting worse" it is not,. at least here it's flat or slightly increasing, we have not hit the peak yet it appears.

Right now we have 118 people in the ICU, on april 20'th we had 126.

Yup. It's ridiculous. They talk about all the asymptomatic people walking around. Like that is the real danger. But they don't factor that into the number. You can't.

But they won't/can't use that in the death rate. Retarded.

lol

read the state covid websites for Iowa, Minny, Nebraska for testing regs, prioritization, referrals.

Blah blah blah.

the heartland is severely behind the rest of the country in tests per million and just getting up to testing all high risk and symptomatic people.

They are gonna show no differently than anyone else. Social distancing and precautionary measures have been poo pooed there by many accounts.

But by all all means please discontinue whatever regulations are in place and resume your daily routine America.
Congratulations on your self declared immunity. Your expertise in pandemic response has served you well.

When the tests go to the hotspots, then what?

When your business or job is shut down, then what?

People protesting at the capiol building? Treat them fair and not like 5th graders first.

Heat isn't going to do a damn thing if sick people are coughing and breathing virus all over everybody.

More proof you don't have any honest opinions regarding this virus. You've twisted yourself into a pretzel to the point you have taken the side of every pro/con argument.

You've been discredited................ by nobody other than yourself

Nonsense, I'm merely pointing out that saying it's hot in Brazil and therefore it's still spreading, means heat doesn't effect it, is ridiculous. . People living in slums where they are very, very close to others, with limited sanitation, will easily overwhelm any heat related effect.

Exactly-yet you’re so eager to rush to open things up immediately only because you are desperately hoping the economy could be saved in time for helping trumps election prospects. Unfortunately I think businesses are going to be suffering for quite a while and many might never be able to survive at all.

Without wide scale testing there’s a higher likelihood this virus will continue to spread. Yet you keep dismissing further benefits and of testing. You move the goal posts on a daily basis considering impacts and mitigation concerning Covid all to fit your desired narrative.

We should open things up immediately in most(but not all of the nation) because the objective of the shutdowns was achieved, the system was not overwhelmed anywhere, not even in NY. The projections were wrong, the goal was achieved, the curve flattened, there is no reason to continue it.

Nor is there any evidence that haircuts pose a serious threat(the stylist can wear a mask if they desire), the same goes for dining, people eating out at a table is no different than them eating at a table at home.

The canadian who doesn't even have a tv is telling us what's going on in our own state, thanks billy.

It's the year 2020, someone doesn't need a TV or need to be from this country to keep up with what's going on in any particular state

health and wellness is not a parrisan issue, it is just common sense. If your state and the federal government cannot ramp up testing to a level that ensures public safety, common sense dictates you stay isolated.

The governments have succesfully shifted the blame for lack of testing to those that should be tested by politiciz3 the issue. The simple solution is to test, trace and model. The government cannot meet those obligations so they have labelled anyone erring on the side of caution and pitted them against the free will tribe.

Typical America.

"Anyone wants a test gets a test" has evolved to "Liberate America" and skipped the testing phase for a large % of the country. Only 2% of the country has been tested, track and trace is a pipe dream.

Not the stuff mandatory RTW is based on.

So the state should shut down because Detroit has a problem? Since no countries have tested, traced, and modeled it correctly yet not much is getting done.

I’ll ask you again Billy, - if its your business shut down in a safer area and you cant get help, what are you doing? Be happy you’re losing everything?

Seems to be a pattern
Trump direct quote:’s

Feb. 26: “And again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done.” — Trump at a press conference.
and that same day Fauci said coronavirus wasn’t much of a concern. Trump went off of Fauci

Dr. Anthony Fauci said there was "nothing to worry about" in late February 2020 in regards to COVID-19 and it was "safe" to do things like go to the movies and the gym.
