Just wait till russia conquers more and more of ukraine and the realization sinks in that countries are suffering for nothing.

90% of oil to europe to be banned at the end of the year . already selling oil on the cheap to india and china. Barrels do not mean as much as revenue. Last year russia sold 40% of their oil to europe.

wow!
The reality is that Putin is and will win. It's been a couple months and already the transition of where russia will sell their oil is in full bloom. 6 months from now as winter approaches they'll be laughing at europes troubles.

We're fine, that's not what the problem is. The UK planning for rolling blackout this winter because of lack of gas throughout europe.

Too stupid and stubborn to just drop the sanctions instead of suffering.

that will not stop inflation. Stocks have to be brought down by the FED. If the Fed does too much a recession comes. They have been bringing the value of stocks down but not enough. Jamie dimon of chase said drill oil 2 years. The fed is doing it their way

What happens if they go in poland ? China is taking south america over. Brazil Election is coming in october. Eventually we will have to fight.

The whole point of sanctions is that russia would suffer, sure we'd have some pain but it would be worth it since they would lose the war. If they dont lose and dont suffer, what's the point?

to make them weaker. It does work but they are slow in taking things away.. Are they working on moving oil pipes?

Cmon, that's ridiculous, I highly doubt they move past eastern and southern ukraine - west of the dneiper. Putin is not crazy - he invaded for a reason, this is it - to protect russian people. The areas in yellow are unlikely to be occupied - it would be too tough anyway.

Big headlines that Europe agreed to stop importing russian oil by sea, just silly since 80% of it goes through pipelines anyway. What's likely to happen is as russia lines up permanent oil buyers outside of europe, it will be the russians that start turning the screws on europe - they will be the ones to cut europe off.

Hopefully right as they enter winter in order to inflict maximum pain.

he bulk of the current pipeline deliveries are to Germany and Poland, which have signaled they will wean themselves off Russian supplies regardless of any EU action. Berlin committed in writing to stick to that pledge on Monday, one of the people said. If both countries follow through, the total effect, along with seaborne embargo, would be to cut 90% of Russian crude oil sales to the EU by year’s end.

“We should be able to soon return to the issue of the remaining 10% of pipeline oil,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said at a news conference early on Tuesday.

IF IF IF, when they realize they cant replace it all, then what? Then they get a quiet as a church mouse.

That would leave Iran and Iraq as the last hope for europes oil supplies. This shit is funny.

after the pipes are moved

oil suppliers are not the problem -down the road food could be for africa

--LNG can be used too but it is more expensive

Kwait -oil
Qatar these guys have LNG too

Those LNG facilities cost a fortune and ages to build. They're also very dangerous, they can blow to kingdom come if something goes wrong.

If I was Putin I would make sure something goes wrong, purely an accident of course.

No, no one can ramp up oil production at the drop of a hat but the saudis, the russians, and US if we worked at it. The iranians could as well as Iraq - both of whom just so happen to be getting more and more friendly with russia.,

Everyone else are small players who already have plenty of customers.

Bingo, the cost is there very economic survival. Their political survival as well most likely.

Massive cutbacks in economic output, massive inflation, massive unemployment, massive unrest. And I dont think they can just print money to get out of it.

Instead of suffering and living in misery all they have to do is negotiate an end to the war with Russia.

Wouldn't that be better?

OPEC Weighs Suspending Russia From Oil-Production Deal

Western sanctions have begun to take a toll on Moscow’s petroleum output

Here's a good site to track russian exports, a ton of oil is about 6-7 bbls(depending on the type), so russia exported approx 40 million bbls/oil last week. Obviously this does not include pipeline exports.

EU leaders holding a two-day summit in Brussels agreed late Monday to pursue a partial ban on Russian oil, paving the way for the sixth package of sanctions. The sanctions would forbid the purchase of crude oil and petroleum products from Russia delivered to member states by sea but include a temporary exemption for pipeline crude, European Council President Charles Michel said.
