I'm not going to look it up but I think afghanistan was relatively stable and had a king, he was over thrown by a leftist, then there was another attempt to get rid of him and he asked russia for help. Russia invaded , the US started backing the islamists and the rest is history.

Why is that sad? Micro politics appears to be where the winner evolves from, not some rinky dink sector/region. Smart and specific to say the least.

The most important question is are the polls even real? i have suggested that prob 1/2 of them are literally made up - here's $200K, give us a poll that shows it dead even, or biden ahead.

The last quinnipac poll in WI in 2020 showed trump down 17 pts, the final result was less than 1% - IMO that poll and others were designed to lower republican turnout...it's called fake.
