This is a bad night for Republicans IMO. Tonight made it obvious that Biden is incoherent and in 4 years would be literally a veggie. Therefore I think this really puts Gavin Newsome into play and the republicans do not want that. They can beat Biden (possibly in a landslide). Newsome they will have their hands full becuase he can punch back. Long story short Newsome was the big winner on the night.

I honestly think biden would get more votes in CA than newsome would. Would newsome do well in WI, MI or PA?

Yes, He may not but he certainly will get all the voters that are left that can't bare the guilt of voting the senile Biden into the most powerful postion in the world. Newsome is coherent at least and he doesn't need california votes. It's only the swing states that matter and by default he has to do better in those states than Biden. . Put it this way, I have a ton of Republican money to win the election at an avg of about +105. I am getting off of some at +155ish as we speak as I think at the end of the day this is a bad night for Trump despite crushing Biden in the debate..

trump plays golf, and while I've heard he cheats he's actually very good apparently - lots of practice, the idea that biden has or as ever had a 6 or 7 handicap considering he barely golfs is laughable.
