The 9.5 concern for the economy is about to reach a 10.

Did you see those casino's that reopened in OK, people were lined up out the door(an hour wait), with no masks? People aren't flying now because there's nothing to do at their destination, once things open up the planes will be busy.

Day one and two will be busy, as those that got stimulus checks have to blow thru it. Give it a couple weeks. Business will be hurting big time with expected 20% unemployment. And with the table seat limits, it will appear more crowded than it really is. Wait to see June and July year over year numbers and they will be horrendous.

As the number of confirmed coronavirus cases explodes across Africa, the creeping involvement of the WHO has made some leaders suspicious of the NGO. Tanzanian President John Magufuli was growing suspicious of the organization, so he reportedly decided to investigate whether the organization was as trustworthy and reliable as it claimed to be.

That would suggest one of two conclusions: either the strain of SARS-CoV-2 running amok in Tanzania is much, much more infectious than scientists understand, or the WHO has been reporting incorrect results either on purpose (as an attempt to bolster its credibility in the face of President Trump's attacks) or via error (yet another indication that the WHO truly is "badly brokem" - as Vox described it back in 2015).

If you people spent half the time you burned blaming others, in some form of logical, progressions of thoughts, your lives would be better as time passed.

Pointing fingers is not easier in the long run, whether at others or yourself.

I was out west last week....will be out west for a month in June. I was a little concerned with flying but if masks are mandatory I don't have elevated concern.
I carried sanitizer and wiped down the tray table etc before the pandemic when I would fly.
I wear a mask so as to protect others.....Im still not that concerned about getting sick. Visiting GF's mother and would never even consider stepping foot in her house w/out a mask on....just plain irresponsible not to have a mask on.

Looks like we're headed for the lowest new cases and deaths in a long, long time, things are getting better and better.

I might be going out on a limb, but it appears that 'prediction" of 200,000 new positives a day by june 1st was a wee bit off - 3 weeks to go.

I have had so many realizations in the past 70 or so days. It's been the oddest time of all of my life for certain and I can slowly realize our world will never be the same.

I feel it's so odd that we live in a time where wearing a mask that could possibly save your or someone elses life make you afraid but carrying a gun is just protection.

A time where if they wont allow people to go back to work they were refusing the right to choose a freedom but not that matters when it comes to women.

I live in a country where we
We are led by the stupidest man to attain
the american presidency. That is remarkable enough. But at the same time, he is also the most selfish human we could have elected. I knew we as society would suffer back in 2016 but I really had no fucking clue.

The lack of responsibility he is willing to admit, the lack of empathy for those dying, the complete blame game to remove himself from any wrong doing makes everyone cringe. Well except 43% of people who love the divide that has been created.

My father who has hep-c and my cousin both whom I love endlessly and are intelligent people normally still believe this is just a hoax made up by the media. So yeah I'm scared, terrified 61 days after I made my last bet and earned a penny, wasn't eligible for stimulus and when I entered my mothers home today she wore a mask and I was asked to bring my own plate, fork and
glass put everything in perspective... terrified if its 1-10 I'm now a 11 and have been living in a world of 5 for 2 months.

Ok convince me. What is fabulous about the job Trump is doing? I know all the ways hes failed maybe I'm missing something.

Please do not say China travel ban to lead us off, that's been proven to be foolish. 40k chinese were let in and never tested. Over 265k foreigners were also allowed again with no tests or actually questioning of any type.

We lead the world in cases, deaths but apparently we are still winning. Someone, anyone convince me how we are handling this perfectly at every level of government and society. No end in sight of how much we are winning. It was going be down to zero by March and if we dont hit 100k by this time 3 weeks from now it's a small feat.
How do you measure success?
