If they want to run a successful book yeah, they should pay up. Their job is to book bets and pay the winners. I mean, their only responsibility is to be able to pay. Its like going to a dentists office for a teeth cleaning and the dentist tells you that he doesn't actually know how to clean teeth, but he can bake a cake. That dentists job is to know everything about teeth and to you, nothing else matters. The fact that the dentist can bake is not something you care about.....you're not going to that dentist to buy cookies, you're going there for a teeth cleaning. Same thing with sportsbooks....the only thing you care about is getting paid if you win. If you can't find a way to pay off the customer, you might be in the wrong biz.

in my experience, and in the experience of dozens of other players I know, further sanctions has meant having limits chopped or being shown the door with a transfer of funds. Confiscating a player's balance (outside of the bonus) is WAY outside the line. One of the reasons it's such a bad idea to play at sportsbooks giving away large bonuses. 1. the overhead is high, it's harder for them to keep their head above water 2. it gives them a license to STEAL.

For someone that feels so bitter about EOG you sure spend alot of time surfing the site and posting alot of the threads from here elsewhere. Keep up the good work and hope to see you back come foots for some help with the contests.

i dunno mo. It still defies logic to be up 3k off a free play and try to steal 500 more. If he was working a scam he would have done a withdrawl before trying to go after 500 more. Why risk the 3k he is up for 500 more?

I mean if he really bets the amount in which he can run up an account to 100k I can't understand going out to steal 500 bucks. Makes no sense to me.

forwarding the offer from Oddsmaker to his father is amoral? didn't his dad call them himself? do you guys have any background regarding court cases involving unsolicited email?

this is not so different than getting a coupon for a free burrito from Chipotle and giving it to a friend or family member.

I disagree completely. For one, I wouldn't overestimate this person. We are talking about someone who, in serious matters, falls back on his desire to kick some ass. That is interesting.

If you took out your 8k, which isn't a lot to this player, and then get shut down, you're stuck. I can easily see someone trying to get the free play money in before they want to cash out. He simply didn't read the rules before he signed up and figured that the worst that could happen was getting caught and having that one account not open. He was wrong. Even in this thread he, for some reason, seems to think that someone offered the wagering rules in the email he received. Why would he think that? Think about it.

Professional players or players considered to be abusing the bonus system by any means may have bonuses revoked and be subject to further sanctions, at the discretion of OddsMaker.com management. Bonus abuse may be defined as (but not restricted to) clients cashing out for the purpose of redepositing, or referring new accounts that they are using themselves. Sanctions may be in the form of increased rollover requirements or loss of bonus privileges altogether for the offending account as well as any linked accounts.


Good thing they didn't decide to ass rape you or have you killed. Can the reach be any broader. With guidelines this loose, it comes down to what is fair.

Keeping the entire $8400 is not fair. That is where Shrink failed. It concerns me that an amicable settlement couldn't be reached over a few thousand dollars. I don't care what SBR and jimmy did. This was the worst possible result.

I think Jimmy went to go work out.

I have seen nothing mentioned about a promo code, I have seen nothing stating that the offer was non-transferable.

Even if an offer is stated as being non-transferable a lot of times a sportsbook will honor a promo if they are asked about it because the whole point of bonuses is to drum up business.
