The bears have totally distanced themselves right away, not one employee has said a peep. Thinking maybe a stalker issue or maybe underage porn? It’s not a health issue, because the team would have given a leave of absence.

Probably the most laughed at team in the entire league. So bad. This is reaching top rank levels of bad.

Dolphins offense is a powerhouse so it isn't that amazing what they can do but this is just ridiculous. We're talking incompetence across the board.

They are worse than last year. Didn't think that was possible considering they were tanking, added a bunch of draft picks and free agent signings. The organization is garbage and that starts at the top.

They spent a bunch of money on 2 linebackers in free agency. IMO, linebacker is the easiest position to address in the draft. Same goes for DE. And yes, Jalen Carter was avaiilable, They drafted an OT in the first round. IMO, you are better off getting O-lineman in free agency. Due to the nuances of offensive line play, it takes most a while to get up to a high level. It doesn't happen right out of the gate. They wanted "weapons" for Fields. I do like DJ Moore, but wouldn't you be better off getting protection for Fields rather than weapons? A 2nd rounder for Claypool? We've already talked about that. Poles has only been GM for 20 games, but if the team doesn't show solid improvement the rest of the way, he has to go, along with Eberflus. Its hard to grade a draft and off season moves so early, but procedurally, he really messed up.

No guarantees. They appeared to be at bottom last year. So much for that.

The previous GM thought he was the smartest guy in the room. Mahomes wasn't even on his radar. Mitch or Watson? He saw something in Trubisky to end up trading 3 first rounders to SF to move up 1 slot. I was living in the Bay area in 2017. There was zero talk of the Niners planning on selecting Trubisky. So in my post 2 above, I lay out a basic draft template. Concentrate on defense in the draft and use free agency for O-line. It's pretty simple and straight forward. The new guy Poles did the opposite.

You made a mistake. If the Bears did trade three first rounders to move up one spot it would have been the worst trade in NFL history by a lot.
They gave up their #3, and a third and fourth round pick for SF #2 pick.

It only works long-term if the general manager is competent....FA signings have been a bust..
article written im-depth about what went into trading 1st pick from Poles perspective....more than a couple red flags in that article....at least to me...likely a GM in over his head

San Fran Did The Same Thing. Accept, They Didn't/ Rockfish Post 295.

Traded 3 1st Rounders For Trey Lance.

Accept, Shanahan And Lynch Just Got Their Contracts Extended.

That Happened Only Because They Got Lucky With Brock Purdy, Who Was Mr. Irrelevant, The Last Pick In The Draft.

Not much coaching in college or HS, the talent level was much better than the competition. Unfortunately OSU isn't in the minor league system to groom QBs for the next level. CJ Stroud does look good so far, but we'll see when teams adjust to him.

Shit doesn't pan out typically.

But Williams has the arm, legs and IQ. Prime Wilson basically. Even in his freshman year you saw he was legit. Stayed in school, transfered and improved. Legit Wilson 2.0

I'm not sure what Bears do though. They will only fail him because they have nothing really. They need o-line desperately.

Unload Fields on draft day and draft offensive line and Williams. Even Joe Alt from ND gets it done.

Jenkins is legit but he's been injured.

They don't deserve Caleb and Marvin. Whoever comes next season will have it good. We are talking 2 guys who will flat out become superstars.

Denver is really horrible. The Bears put up over 470 yards of offense and 6.7 yards/play and 171 rush yards. They got a gift wrapped fumble 6.
