TOR screws me with the shootout! TBay goalie sucks!! I thought it was over when Vinny got the first goal in the SO. Would have been a nice parlay!

NoNewbieca,

BOL with any and all parlays you make. If there are two made for the entire season by yours truly, that would be a lot.

Good Afternoon Shack80,

Thank you, they are all done by system using various filters with various weight. All listings include overtime and/or shoot-out as needed. Pinnacle uses decimal lines and are head and shoulders above everyone else with all their options. There is no, zero, nada problem with yourself and/or others not liking a/any/all of the action as everyone `caps games a way that works best for them. Please feel free to drop in anytime with any comment(s) and/or question(s) you might have. Everything in this thread is read and unless a person is being a complete and total asshole, will get a response by the next time log in and enter the thread. Good luck with your action tonight and the remainder of the season.

iLoVik,

Thanks for your response to Shack since wasn't here. Not a joke, nor kidding - it is appreciated. Unlike some, we don't live on-line 24/7 and meet/greet people daily. Continued success to you this season.

Have to disagree with DAL. Zubov is questionable and DAL has few other key players at IR for todays game so in my rankings Detroit will take this one. I also like to bet for Tampa Bay. They have slight change for big win at Ottawa. It's all about Ottawa's attitude in this one.

Shack80,

Not a problem on disagreeing on games. DAL lost earlier today, it happens and now they start a road trip. Worry not, will get the lost cash back from the game in the future. 3rd period awaits. BOL with your action tonight.

Re: Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

PacMan, you bet for a living?

tool21,

Yes sir and have taught my children the way as well as some of the grandchildren (older obviously with their parent approval & they were present during the sessions). Some people are good at being a doctor, others construction, yet others plumbers (and so on), gift/knowledge is in wagering.

Pigskin this season was brutal to put it nicely.

Bases have traditionally been solid/very solid. T'breds are next in line followed by the N.H.L. Baskets are a rarity as they are in conflict with winter/spring action - not to mention like to be able watch a sport without any money on the line.

Hope your updates are clicking for you.

I totally agree with that.

Do you use your 'chase' management in every sport that you bet? I think we talked before, i only have a chase system for baseball and its worked like a charm. I have much respect for somebody that wagers for a living because i am trying to go down that road. Have to start small and be patient because that's all i have but one day i'll be doing the same as you.

tool21,

Chase works for bases as you know and pucks to a lesser degree. Have to come up with a baskets method/system that would only take 15-20 minutes to `cap the days action (to see if there's a play).

Far as pigskin goes, going to take a long hard look at this past season (college and pro), see what went wrong and adjust for next season. Next season's action will be less/lower than this past one since the equation will be changed.

Thank you and when started it was tough but stayed the course and over the years/decades got to where can now use $100 as base unit. When started played games for $1-5. By today's standards that's not very much but back then that was a lot of cash. Best thing will tell you is to keep accurate records/stats and always back-test any/all changes to make certain you'll end up cash positive at season's end. Also, stick to the action that makes you money (by sport). Keep to your core values (formula) and you'll one day be able to earn enough to support your family, friends and self in a very nice manner. Remember, the more people that tell you it can't be done; the better your chances as they have given up their dream/goal. This road will have many bumps, turns and twists along the way but stay focussed on the long-term goal. Oh yea, don't change your unit in the middle of a season, kinda obviously but needs to be stated.

pac,
interesting read, a few posts ago. always looking for some new and old handicapping "systems". by that i mean learning formulas from others, as well as, trying to figure some out for myself. i find that i lack patience to stick with the plan after it, as always, hits a rough patch. seems from what you say that patience and tweaking/re-examing the formula is paramount to any successful formula. will now take this into account.
thanks.

quisp,

Glad you found a few useful items in that post. With the formula's used they go for the entire season, the adjustments/tweaking are done after the FULL regular season has been completed. You're welcome and good luck with your action this season.

Shack80,

Sorry we both, and others, lost on the same two games. Good luck with your action the rest of the season.

No problem, we can't win every night. I'm at 6-8 this season. Having like +-0 at my account. Wins will come.

GL to you too.

Shack80,

While that is true, wouldn't mind going on a nice 3 or 4 day run again. You're closer to .500 than us but never made claims of going to have this/that win percentage. It's always been about the cash and will always be about it. Think it was posted in this thread within the last week, would a person rather be 12-6-0 but down money or 6-12-0 and up money? Obviously, it's the latter. Those who want to piss and moan about the w/l record here, let them - it's not that serious nor important as records are correct and verified by others. Continued success this season to you.

If it'll make you feel better, send your addy as well. :+textinb3The only way one will get better, is to keep doing it (whatever 'it' is). Try to remember, this takes time and we've been doing it for "a little while" :LMAOand yet regularly fail to be on the correct side over 53% of the time but end up cash positive - go figure. Never take it personal if you/others are on the other side of a game played. Think about it, if all were on one side, the odds would be much worse. Continued success this season.

No problem Pac, I was just trying to lighten up my mood a little. I really do try to absorb as much as possible around here that I can. I just have to laugh at my own expense from time to time. Like I was saying in PL's thread, it's not hard to figure out who top cappers are in a short period of time and that's why I frequent your thread on a regular basis. It's all part of the learning curve for me. This, like golf, is a hobby / way of life that I continue to strive to get better at (but at times can frustrate the hell out of me).

That and the fact that I'm not even sure of why we're talking about emails. I just popped in to see what you had on tonights games.

BOL to you and continues success my friend!!

larzuk35,

Thank you, you're to kind as there will many a folk that will tell you how do hockey/baseball is "wrong" because they don't provide "x" winning percentage; not to mention there are others know of who are far better than us. A good example of this is a person known at another forum who at last read had but 2 or 3 losses to this point in the season. Have played that system but find this one using creates more cash flow. Have spoken with them on and off for the past two or three years. Each person has to make it work for them. There's enough room at the outs for everyone's action. You mention golf, what's your handicap? Pop in when the time works for you, the light is on and the door is open. Continued success this season to you.
