Not a fisherman nor a foodie nor a beach guy.

I'm a gambler, FISH.

Take Air Force +3.5 over SJSU in MW hoops tonight.

Thx and GL........stay cool.

Another cold day in Vegas.

The cold here 5x more of a factor than the heat on a yearly basis.

It's interesting when you watch these travel shows and CR. Americans with money go to CR and fall in love. Naturally
they make plans to move. Uproot kids et al. I always wonder how they pan out in the long run. Of course they show them
after they re-locate and everyone is smiling. But those different cultures eventually wear on the lifestyle they're accustomed
to in the States.

Miss the convenience factor of the States (CR is a third-world country, after all) and the big-time sporting events in the United States.

No live horse racing in Costa Rica (forced to travel to Panama to watch the horses run) and no quality basketball to watch (soccer is the national sport).

How dangerous is it for an american living there, are you constantly on alert or are the stories overblown?

So what's the attraction, exotic birds and reptiles?

The tropical climate is the biggest attraction.

The Pura Vida lifestyle also suits me.

And as MURPH mentioned, the Latinas are warmer than most American women.

Here in Costa Rica, unlike the States, men are still revered for their position as head of the household.

ESPN Deportes.

Lots of sports channels, but most feature futbol.

It seems every channel in Costa Rica is the Soccer Channel.

Watched the Super Bowl featuring Spanish-speaking announcers.

Some might say that beats the Nantz-Romo combination.
