Goodbye Huggy!!!!!

:D

CBS SportsLine.com has confirmed that University of Cincinnati basketball coach Bob Huggins will be fired or forced to resign within the next 24 hours.

Huggins has been asked to resign, effective immediately, and accept a $3 million buyout of the remaining two years of his contract. If he rejects the deal, Huggins will be terminated without cause, and his compensation would be reduced to $2 million.

As first reported on the Cincinnati Enquirer's website, associate head coach Andy Kennedy will be asked to become interim head coach of the Bearcats, who will make their Big East debut this season. Kennedy is expected to accept the position, with Huggins' encouragement.

Two months ago, university president Nancy Zimpher declined to exercise the four-year rollover option of Huggins' contract. Huggins, 51, has been at UC for 16 years and is the winningest basketball coach in school history with a record of 399-127 and 14 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. However, the program's image has been tarnished by poor graduation rates and Huggins' surly on-court demeanor.
