I remember a funny line from comedian Bobby Slayton who at the time was headlining at Hooters Casino (now Oyo Hotel) on Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas.
Slayton said he went to his top-floor suite at Hooters and looked out his window to see the massive MGM Grand Hotel across the street and dreamed about one day headlining there.
He then peered out the other window and down the block to see a neon sign reading "Motel 6."
