I would say that common sense would have to prevail in Cascades and BTJ's beef. Anytime a wager is accepted and both sides agree to it, a bet should be honored. If he had won , he deserved to be paid. Lose, and it should be end of story. Now, if there was no confirmation of the bet over the phone, or it was on the internet, the bet should have been confirmed one way or another long before the game was graded. After that, then anything can or looks like , it did happen as in this case. One thing is for sure, too much of all the rest of our time has been wasted on this stupid $660 that we have had to hear about FOREVER.

That's not a good argument, I often make plays while not knowing when a given game starts - even if it is a chicago game. IMO, if they had a rule up on their website stating that they would refund any bets taken past post then that is what they should do in all instances for games that started while they had those rules. Still, it is very possible that JJ took a shot at cascade and it backfired.

I have never seen a more blatant mistake by a book.

I agree! In fact I posted up with Cascade shortly after EOG opened because of their name being brought up in these very forums. I had forgotten I had an account their previously so I emailed them and they gave me a reload bonus becasue the one time I played their before I lost all of my post up.
