Does he run the team? Should he run the team? Should the lakers allow a player who's led them to 31 wins cart blanc to pick the roster?

I think not,, those days if they ever existed are over as lebron is now on the decline. He makes around $50 million a yr and for that he owes the team a solid effort every game(within reason - no one expects him to play 80 games).

Plenty of people dislike or even hate Lebron - he's earned much of that hasn't he?

If they listened to him before the season they would have DeMar DeRozan on the team instead of Westbrick, that move alone would have made them a much better team

This is what should happen. I can't think of a worse and worse look if he sits 2 games the team needs then plays 2 games he needs.

If he plays the last two games, you'll say he was healthy the whole time and quit, but came back to win the scoring title. If he sits out the last two games, you'll say he was healthy the whole time and quit, but it would have looked bad for him had he come back to play the last two meaningless games. You'll have two posts ready to fire, one if he plays, the other if he doesn't, makes no difference what he does in your eyes. BTW, you still haven't answered if you think Jordan is a quitter for quitting the Bulls for an entire season to play minor league baseball

I don't remember hearing LeBron failure stories ever mentioned to a similar degree compared to MJs career like this. In games he's played LeBron is having his first losing record (25-31) than his rookie season (33-46). But no worries. He can play 2 more games now to earn yet another individual scoring title for the compensation that goes with it now that they're eliminated.

Considering he was telling the truth and hadn't played since, it clearly wasn't some type of April fool's joke, he was honestly letting everyone know he was hurt and his season was over at that point

You need to keep in mind that this was speculation while they still had a chance to be in the play in game, but it's probably not what he would t have wanted anyway . Plus if he ran the table all season, around playing all the unfortunate garbage around him, there was never really anything else to play for anyway.

That trophy should be be made of plastic. That was the joke covid season where there was a months long break and then the dystopian playoffs that reminded me of the opening scene of the original Manchurian Candidate. It doesn't count. The trophy during the strike shortened season counts but a big fat asterisk. Lebron is the most talented player to shoot the rock but he has an empty materialistic legacy.
