The reason we do not have sports wagering is because of the agreement the state signed with Indian Casinos. It gives them the right to host wagering sites and no one else. Until this arrangement gets modified we will have to continue doing it "hush hush" and not legally.

From what I've read the tribes have a huge strangle hold on casinos in Cali which is going to make online poker and sports betting on apps very tough to push through
The saving grace is the state is an absolute Dumpster fire with all the high net worth people leave and taking millions in tax dollars with them
Eventually (fingers crossed in 5 years) they will get this corrected to help pay for all the social programs they have
