Chelsea to lift the EFL Trophy +135
Liverpool is the top team in the PL. But they have a lot of injuries. They also played a home game on Wednesday. Now they have to play again in London - and that is about a 3-hour train ride (shorter flight) 4 days later.
Chelsea last played on Feb. 17 - so they are as well-rested as can be and based in London, the commute to Wembley is much shorter for all Chelsea people and supporters. Their season has been - disastrous (and that is being very kind) so far. Their table position is not going to get them into European competition next season and for a side like Chelsea, thus hurts. HOWEVER - a win here DOES get them a spot in Europe next season. That cannot be overlooked.
We have the more rested team that is playing for something far greater than winning this game against a side that has more fatigue and injuries and is focused on winning the PL. Liverpool would love to get a trophy for their outgoing manager, but they have bigger goals than this in mind!
The total on this game is 3 with OVER a slight favorite. I don't see any way we see 4+ goals in this game. A 0-0, 90-minute draw pays over 14-1 and is not the worst bet one can make in this game knowing it is played on the big pitch of Wembley.
