No the Fed crashed the stock market. They should have issued a rate cut a while ago. The markets have been incredible for over 3 1/2 years. Haven't heard from any of you since Biden came into office about the markets. Go back to Truth Social for your marching orders Wade & Merlin.
Nasdaq down about 14% from its high several weeks ago. That's a legit correction.
Its too late for Powell to do any good. There's a lot of problems in the economy and a couple .25 basis point cuts won't do much.
"They" (MSM) have been clueless. They keep trying to push the narrative that the economy isn't bad. The alt media schooled them. They were the ones sounding the alarms. Any good day next couple days is likely to short covering, not optimism.

Today's gain is meaningless. It's only a partial relative to recent losses. Likely many shorts just covering. Some of the biggest "up" days happen in bear markets. See 2000-2002.

Well, Trump flip flopped after the market skyrocketed back up and now says the market went back up because people think he's going to win the election. I also believe in the Easter Bunny! If Trump losses the election I just hope all the Republicans have enough strength to move on and find a better candidate for 2028. Not DethSantis or one of Trump's sons. Trump set this country back at least 100 years.

you got to give trump some credit.. JP morgan said the US went thru a gauge called the Sahm rule. It said we are now in a recession. The bank said it early august. Also there is a history owning stocks after the 1st cut shows stocks going down for the year going forward.
There's a lot of problems brewing. We know the job situation is much worse than the BLS original tape as the Q1 revisions were 818k more out of jobs than they thought. The residential RE market has a lot of problems now with rising inventories and the lowest number of transactions in 40 years.
