Personally I think 'Stacks Up' is an understatement. We have faster injuries, accurate over-night pitching changes, and truer wiseguy moves to name a few. The line changes are the same, so thats a wash. What else are you getting for $650 a month, or have they gone up to 700 yet?

Been using Don Best since 1994. For the player and book alike, it's a must. GJ can not compete with them. They are trying, but are a long way off.
Ask around, talk to the books, they are subscribe to DB as well. GJ I think is a great start for the recreational player, but for the Pros its DB all the way.

I have used Both, and I can honestly say that DB is Not better and even worse in some areas... So Just because the books use something that has been around for years means it is better :+clueless:+clueless :whatever:

Having been fortunate enough to use both for long periods and comparing products and price, GJUPDATE is all MOST of us guys would possibly need. I do understand that some people don't have to worry about cost (money).
IMO, An even better observation is DB is all corporate now whereas GJUPDATE is still a smaller friendly (seemingly mom n pop business) and common man type organization. I suggest them both if you can afford, but for the price GJUPDATE is your best buy me thinks.

No need to for me. I know linemanagers in everyone of those shops. They may be using it, but it's in addition to Donbest. Like I said you guys have come a long way, just got more work to do thats all.

And on top of that you now admit that its 'been awhile' since you have even looked at the GJ product. I am guessing you have never used it, and have some agenda in promoting DB. But I have been wrong in the past, I am just waiting for one tiny little factor that makes DB (a $650? product) better than GJ (a $350 product).

I am objective and have no reason not to speak the truth. I always email GJ with issues if I have one and get a prompt reply....not true when I used Don Best...they could care less... Once people realize what is out there and the truth then they will change or Give GJ a try...

$650, I dont know anyone paying that for Donbest. You should ask for a better price if they are charging you that.

100% fact that GJ has awesome customer service. i corresponded with a man named "Sonny" a couple times and he was more helpful and friendly than i would have ever imagined. there is being 'polite' and then there is actually giving a shit. I could tell this person genuinely cared that i got what i was looking for. first rate.
i don't even chime into many non-sports related threads, but GJ is more than worth taking the time to post on behalf of.

I won't argue your point. That is something that could probably be backed up with facts. Sure, more books (at this juncture) are using DB. An even bigger number are using both screens, and an increasing number are dropping most of their DB screens and using G&J as an alternate. Some, out of comfort will keep a couple DB screens around, but are using ours as the main one. I expect this trend to continue. This is an industry of habit, its not easy to even get people willing to try. But once they do try the GJ product, most will subscribe.

Don Best was in the Computerized Line Service business before GJ. It makes sense they would have more customers. That sure as hell doesnt make their product better. Is TheRX a better forum because it has more members? Or is EOG equally good, if not better because of their steadily increasing customer base?
