All right! We're finally here and ready to bet. Early season I only wager 1 or 2 units, taking the time to analyze the teams evolution.
A great match-up between Atlanta and Florida: the Thrashers will have a terrifying offense when Kovalchuk will finally sign (yes he will) and with the additions of Holik, Mellanby, Hossa and Peter Bondra, despite his age. On the Panthers' side, Roberto Luongo will end up with one of the best GAA in the league. Still haven't made up my mind and I might even pass.
San Jose +122 (2 units): picked them as a future at +2246 so they better start off well in Nashville.
Ottawa -1.5 +186 (2 units): Senators should be considered the top team right now. Playing at the Air Canada Center is the best way to start the season off and gain confidence by beating the Leafs.
Colorado +123 (2 units): Hejduk's loss to injury will affect the team but I don't see Edmonton stopping the Avs.
Vancouver -1.5 +137 (1 unit): Canucks are powerful, Coyotes aren't.
NYR-PHI O6 -115 (1 unit): expecting the Flyers to pretty much cover it by themselves.
