George Bush and the US Owe Canada $5 BILLION And Won't Pay!

It seems the US has plenty of money to go to war! But when a NAFTA panel rules that the US illegally collected $5 billion from Canadian lumber exporters. President Bush ignores the ruling, thusly not paying back his neighbors to the North! And yet, people in the US elected this guy and continue to do nothing about his manipulations of oil prices, wars and mounting deficits that nobody seems to care about until their kids' kids have to pay the bill! 9/11 was very sad and my heart goes out to the victims' families and friends, but has anybody ever asked this President what the reasoning was why we attacked Saddam and not the real sponsor of the evil act of 9/11- the Saudis? Maybe our reason for war will change yet again!

Doesn't effect my everyday life that the whole world owes us so I'm guessing it wouldn't effect yours either.Take it as a gambling debt you've never received so you wrote it off.

So the US can put the arm on anyone they feel like and it's okay! I would expect more from the country that used to pride itself as a world leader instead of a world 'thug'!

Is this going to be the bulk of your contributions, political bullshit? I made the mistake of responding once to the Sheehan topic that the General posted, but no longer - first, no one's views are ever changed, second it's a big waste of time and third, it gets really, really, really old to be reading the same old bullshit in a forum supposedly about gambling and sportsbooks.

The way it works is that sometimes a person has a definite point of view (I am no different in this regard) and that person will seek out ANYTHING to post that agrees with that view, and will take any opportunity to post about it ad nauseaum. Those who respond do so for the most part because they make the mistake of thinking the topic is an invitation to discussion, even if the title of the topic reeks of polarization, as in this case - they are dead wrong. The author has no intention of discussing it to arrive perhaps at a different conclusion than they originally started with - they are simply seeking to seize on the latest news article that feeds into their world view and are trying to start an argument, which will never conclude to the satisfaction of any of the parties involved.

Repeat this once a day, ad infinitum, and you have the very definition of 'hell'.

Good luck.

QUOTE]Yes! That is until you can provide us with something stimulating at this point in time when nothing, absolutely nothing is happening in the sports world! I'll refrain from commenting on your topics of discussion until I see your topic-starters! Thanks for your advice! Hopefully, Ken will have a political forum soon so you will not have to be put out!
