I think you would be better off starting a thread per week regarding a specific advertiser.
That way the whole focus is on one book, advertisers get their name on the first page (make sure it stays on the first page for the week), bettors who would not start a thread on their own may be inclined to join in posting with others, it would encourage a book to post in the thread since it is dedicated to them - maybe they would throw in a little freebie for the week - say something like a free $25 or $10 parlay to all who email the book saying they read the thread or the like. Win, win, win.
