Any hunters here at EOG?

Any of you guys/gals deer hunters?

I am an archery hunter, but the last few years sports-betting has kinda taken over. I used to hunt 2 hours every evening, even while in college. I did take my son out to the archery range yesterday to shoot targets. Kinda got the fever again.

Sorry to hear about that.

We would probably agree that the hunting shows and the image of hunting promoted by television is sickening. The part where they go, "YEAH, OH I FEEL SO ____"...is so freaking cheesy and sickening. Real hunters are appalled by it.

When times get tougher, many people will wish they had retained or learned some hunting skills. Imagine how bad this country would be if we had to survive off the land. The vast majority could not even saddle a horse.
