1. Tennessee
The home team has only covered the spread once in the last 10 meetings and Vols tend to play their best in tough road games.

2. Ohio State
Indiana has shown NOTHING and OSU is focused on the BIG 10 title. Indiana lost to Iowa by 17, and OSU beat Iowa by 25.

3. Texas
Texas Tech picked a bad time to have injury problems.

4. Auburn
Looks like a toss-up but Auburn is more consistent.

5. California
Harrison can't play like he did last week again on the road. Cal is hungry after two bitter losses.

Stanford
-Stanford's defense has been solid over the past couple of seasons.

Utah St
-USU is fourth in the league, permitting 383 ypg which is better than Boise State and is also the best among the new schools in the conference this season. After five games, John Chick is averaging 1.6 tackles for loss per outing, the best mark of any player in the league.

Western Michigan
-BGSU has really had its share of problems stopping the run, allowing 218.7 ypg on the ground with 14 touchdowns.

South Florida
-Making the transition from one conference to another is never easy but the Bulls, who have only had a football team on campus for a few seasons, is looking pretty good right about now.

Tulane
-Tulane will beat U.C.F. up through the air.

Ole Miss -If they can't beat Kentucky by at least 10 points, then it's going to be a little bit longer year than it could have been

Texas A&M -A&M has been erratic at best. And Kansas State hasn't been very good on either defense or offense

Memphis - will get an early lead against E. Carolina and run it down their throats. Memphis will win by double digits

Georgia - is just the much better team, and it will be obvious to everyone who watches this game.

Navy-Down year for Rice and even though both run option, don't expect Rice to be able to defend it as well as Middies

Michigan + I believe that Michigans win last week against a high quality Penn State team puts this team back on track and should have enough fire power to beat the under achieving Iowa team outright.

Virginia + After a big win against the Seminoles last week. I look for Virginia to use the momentum to coast by a lesser North Carolina team.

BYU + Everywhere you look someone is talking about how the Irish are the next coming of the NE Patriots. It looks like they are headed in the right direction but they are not quite there yet. Think the points with BYU are too good to pass up.

Penn State - The Lions are licking their chops after a tough loss last week they catch a game against the weakest Big 10 team. I'm looking for the cover in this one by halftime.

Colorado - Has something to prove this week after be physically dominated last week by the Horns. You better believe they will be taking out their frustrations on Kansas.

2) Army- Tough ground game will get the cover versus a lousy kron squad
3) UNLV- Who is Utah to be giving so much on the road? UNLV pulls the upset.
4) Nebraska- Big Red defense too tough for Missou.
5) Wake Forest- Better team getting points at home. sign me up.

BALL STATE-Losses to big clubs on card came while down players. Different effort here.

SMU-Been solid on the road and will continue good play here against team they played tough last go around in similar spot.

AIR FORCE-Although basically a pick, frogs are the public's favorite here and they go down in Colorado Springs today.

CINCINNATI-Keep it within the number and nothing like 70-7!

BUFFALO-Coming off two solid home outing, take their act on the road and stay within the generous spread.

duke+30

duke has not covered a game all year and florida st lost at virginia last week so they should not be up to par and win this game by 28 or less.

north carolina-1

cavs coming off the big win go to chapel hill where unc will be looking to bounce back after the bye week and will do so winning by 7.

rutgers-3

rutgers imo is alot better team right now then uconn and they are only laying 3 on the road it should be a easy 17 pt win.

purdue+7.5

badgers are not as good as their record indicates and i will gladly take purdue catching a little over a touchdown here to keep this one close coming down to the last play.

arizona st-10.5

stanford is horrible and its time for asu to make a strong statement and blow someone out.

Oregon
The Ducks have been quietly putting up some impressive numbers in the Pac 10. Arizona is no match.

Tulsa
This games will be a blowout win by the Canes.

Houston
Mississippi St is 3-12 ATS after 2 or more consecutive straight up losses over the last 3 seasons.

Fresno St is 4-20 ATS in road games in October since 1992.

Oregon St. --- UCLA can't keep letting in this many points

Souther Cal --- look for bush to pad his heisman stats

Oregon -- they have an excellent offense and should score at will

Northwestern --- too many points for MSU to cover...MSU has a tendency to give up sometimes

LSU -- will blow out Auburn

Tennessee
Vols have Bama's number winning 9 of past 10... 6-0 on Bama's field. Tide scraped by Ole Miss. Prothro out makes matters worse.

USC
Huskies have averaged around 17 points against weaker opponents if you ignore the Idaho game. USC scores over 50 here easy.

Iowa
The Hawkeyes have won 22 straight at home. Michigan probably mentally exhausted after 4 Big 10 nail-biters.

BYU
Irish will have a hard time getting up for this game after USC shattered their hearts. McKnight out doesn't help any.

LSU
Auburn has played a much easier schedule and might be a bit overrated. LSU should be undefeated.

Wake Forest- very underrated team in the ACC, if they keep To's to minimum they win

UNC- Va not as good as they looked last week, Hangover!

Bama- Home game vs OVER rated Vols

Oregon St- Ucla has one of the worst run defenses in NATION

NEB- I guess I'll get the suck ass line but I bet this game at +3 on Monday.

Pitt -dd 'cuse

Perry Patterson, any more explanation needed?

rutgers +fg UCONN

Frosh QB looking sharp for Scarlet Knights. Huskies haven't found Orlovsky's replacement yet. Brockington will get stuffed by strong Jersey D and force QB to make decisions. Big bruiser in backfield and changeup scatback QB will give the State College of New Jersey more hope for their bowl bid.

n.tex +a ton LA. TECH

A solid running and defensive team getting a ton against a so-so opponent. Mean Green play close to the vest and barring another turnover barrage should cover rather easily.

Navy minus TD over "the stuff they threw at weddings"

Rice is the proverbial "rudderless ship". Middies will have some of those brusing, clock-eating drives they are becoming known for. Strong run team vs. very bad run defense, sets up perfectly for a blowout.

kansas +2td's COLORADO

Kansas rarely gives up more than 2 TD's so getting them in points is manna from gambler's heaven. Buffs are getting back to former levels, but still wallow in mid-table Big 12 mediocrity. No TO's from Jayhawks should equal a points cover.

Northwestern +
Arguably the two best offenses in the Big Ten headed for a high-scoring shootout. All the Cats do is keep covering and winning outright as big dogs. This MSU secondary is weaker than Wisconsin's and Purdue's and NW shredded them. Points are cheap but NW has the O to keep this close.

Texas -
Texas Tech's gimmick offense is fine against mediocre opponents. Against top defenses, the history of Leach-coached teams is that they are quickly shut down and then they have no answers. Tech will need to score 30+ to cover this one because UT might score at will against this TT defense. I'll be surprised if TT gets to 20 here. 51-17 kind of blowout.

Wake +
Tough spot for NC State, which might be on an emotional precipice after a humiliating no-effort home loss to Clemson. All Wake does is run the ball and beat teams with more talent. I think they do it again here.

Washington +
Have to wonder how much USC will have in the tank for this one. Trojans have sleep-walked through first halves before and might do it again here, perhaps believing they can win this easily with their 2nd team.

Colorado -
KU offense might be one of the worst 10 in the nation and they will need to score 17 or so to have any chance to cover. I don't see how they will unless they get some great turnovers. Buffs have been handled by top teams, but have shown they can put away mediocre ones...which gives me the confidence to lay the lumber.

Tie Breaker: 56

Clemson - Temple is bad, real bad. I think Clemson scores 60 today.

Purdue - The Boilermakers will keep this one close, within a TD for sure. They will score often on that weak Badger D.

Westen Michigan - Yeah, BG blew them out 52-0 last year, but both of these teams have changed since then. Omar Jacobs is overrated.

San Jose St. - Hawaii is favored on the road? I'll take the dog.

Texas Tech - 17 pts? Hell yes, I'll take 'em. TTech has performed well in this series, and this should be one hell of a game.
