There's been TONS of plays this year where fielders can't see the ball.

Everybody's hands go UP!
I've been watching baseball for many years and i could probably count on one hand how many times a player lost the ball in the sun/twilight. It seemed to NEVER happen in the 70s, 80s etc. This stuff just didnt happen.

Now, it happens all the time. I've seen at least 10 cases this year where popup or flyball just fell to the ground with the fielder putting his arms out saying "i cant see it"

Could this be due to lasix surgery? I have to imagine many athletes have had their eyes fixed, i just don't know what else it can be. Its not like the sun was just invented.

Anyone have any thoughts on this new phenomenon?
