My Buddy Hit Bodog for $3900

He played in the casino. Had $20$ left and hit some slot machine jackpot. Now they want driver's license's and his wifes. This is crap in my mind. Just because he loaded his account with his wifes visa?

He should be paid right away, can someone help me here? I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

His wifes drivers license?

Seems as if we may be headed towards another horror story. Congrats to your friend. Thats an awesome hit. He was, essentially, willing to wipe his ass with his last 20 and out of his ass came a small pot of gold.

Time to hit the potty.

I dont see a problem with what they are asking for to be honest. Verifying all information which seems fair to me.....

That is what all books require. I see NO PROBLEM with sending in your wifes information as well since it is her card. But of course if it ISNT HER CARD, then I could see why you are looing for ways around that.

I forsee a lot of trouble ahead in this storyline

The license has become routine, but your wifes?

I better get married before I become a good enough capper to have the option to cash out.

Of course he has to send in his wifes information. He used HER CARD with her name on it. How do they know that she is related to him?? ANYONE who would let you use their credit card would have NO PROBLEM with providing their ID. Now you may have to give her a cut of $100 or so though

I agree 1000% with you...It is absolute BS that they ask for you to fax all this junk in, then the next line of course is, "we cant read the fax legibly" If you give out your username and passwords to others then you deserve to have your money taken....I do not tell others and thus I want my damn money when I request it.:suit:

You see it is BS.

As long as the money is in the account long enough to where it could not be charged back I dont see why he should jump though all those hoops.

What BODOG is basically saying is we will accept money from a stolen credit card as long as you lose the money. But if you win money we are going to make sure the card is really yours.

If you care that much about someone using someone elses card, make everyone jump through the same hoops that you make people jump through when before they make a deposit with the card and not just when they make a withdrawl.

What bodog is saying is we are OK with you making a deposit with stolen credit card, but you damm well better have a legit card if you want a withdrawl.

and this is not just BODOG, this is almost every single book with this stance.

Re: My Buddy Hit Bodog for $3900

Something not right here. I doubt you will get the truth from this friend.

I did not think they allowed you to use a card unless it matched your sign up information. To be allowed to use a card not in your own name seems strange. I would have to guess that he set up an account in his wife's name after already having one in his own. Two Drivers Licenses for one account and one credit card. Why? It's either his account or hers.

Bodog offers generous matching first deposit bonus. Maybe your pal was milking the system. Newsflash. If you violate the TOS, most sites will freeroll on you letting you deposit and deposit and deposit even if they know you are suspect. In the rare occasion that a score is made by the offender, out come the rules.

" Dear Mr. Smith. It seems that you are in violation of our policy regarding multiple accounts from the same address/I.P....blah.blah"

The sending of the Drivers License is only the first of many steps designed to hold your money. The end result of the run around, after weeks or months of sending various things, along with requiring the wife to speak with a security specialist at Bodog, will be forfieture of all winnings for violating the TOS.

Best case scenario is that your pal has to fess up and tell the wife he opened a gambling account in her name and used her card to fund it. Then he has to tell her she needs to send the operators of such site her personal information to get 3600 he probably doesn't want her to know about.

Seems like your friend painted himself into a corner, otherwise why the big comotion about sending the info. Standard procedure. Nothing to worry about if everything is on the up and up.

I always hear problems involving people from the same address and/or same I.P. If there are money transfers and bonuses involved in this, it's going to get really ugly.

I accept that I could be wrong about this, but in years of lurking on poker forums, the threads that start with such complaints, often end in someone multi-accounting,colluding, or bonus abusing.

I hope your friend gets his money.12io4j2w90

I requested a payout from Bodog Friday. Been paying with them with a credit card for years and now they need a credit card verification form. I'm sure they won't be able to see the card when i fax it over.

Let us know how long it takes your friend to get his money please...

Re: My Buddy Hit Bodog for $3900

If he was playing in HIS account with HER card, why did Bodog accept the deposit. If he made a deposit in HER account with HER card, it seems that he may not want her to know about it.

Asking for documentation for an account is what Bodog does. Should be no problem if submits the drivers license. Take it out of her wallet when she's sleeping.

Re: My Buddy Hit Bodog for $3900

His wife knows about it. He aint hiding nothing, nor does he have to.

However, all of a sudden they are giving him, " the we did not get your fax crap".

To me, this is easy to get the man paid. Can a a have a moderator here.

I would greatly appreciate it.

This should be a 24-48 hour event. Already we are seeing the crap......

Some advice please.

Sounds like they are 'angling' for a way to not have to pay.

Re: My Buddy Hit Bodog for $3900

bodog is a squares-only book because of this type of stuff and it's not news (40 day payouts history, hello)..

$3900..

thirty-nine hundred dollars..

But then again, if you have been following the news over the last 18 months or so, Bodog has been bent over a rail by the US DOJ the whole time. Shit, you think they are fucking their players over for shits and giggles, hell no, they are trying to evade the police. Asshole they are, the US DOJ. :finger004

Re: My Buddy Hit Bodog for $3900

In other words the US DOJ is blocking your payment. Bodog is rich and wants to pay, but are prevented in the "land of the free" to pay winners of bets of sporting events to US players (while all players from other countries can be paid in minutes-- as NETELLER serves the free world, US citizens excluded) :+whipping

Still no moderator? Does anyone step in here?

A phone call please.

I understand your friends frustration, please have your friend shoot a mod a pm outlining the details as well as his account number. Also please advise your "friend" to fax his id one more time as I have had this happen to me before at another book and my ID indeed was coming out very dark over the fax. One of our posters, I believe it was trytrytry waited an extended period of time to get paid and it was not because Bodog was broke it was because of red tape......

You might want to ask if you can scan and email the licenses. I ran into the "fax unreadable" before and they allowed an email attachment and then I was promptly paid.

'Paid right away' and Bodog should not be listed in the same sentence.
