I was talking to a friend that I met here at EOG, that I still keep in communication with, this morning and he told me that Jman was in "meltdown mode" across the street and that he was throwing Kenny under the bus. So, I had an extra 30 mins to kill this AM so I decided to go over and read the e-drama.
I would like to take a minute here to set the record straight about my departure from EOG. First of all it had nothing to do with Ken and I having a falling out. Ken and I still talk daily and we are still the best of friends. I was done posting at EOG cuz there was nothing left in the tank. I was, and still am, done with the negativity and nonsense.
Through my years in forumville and getting to know Kenny he is one of the most giving, generous people I have ever met. This nonsense about him being greedy, etc is just plain BS. He is a business man and has a business to operate. He must make tough decisions like every other business owner does when the climate of his business changes. Only out of generosity did he keep on 20+ employees as long as he could before finally doing what made fiscal sense. In my estimation he cost himself well over $100,000 leaving dead weight hanging around here when he didnt have too. He did it because he was loyal, in my opinion, to a fault.
He has never, and I repeat never, been anything but truthful, respectful, and honorable to me, my wife, and anyone I know of that he and I associate with. Today, he is a man of integrity and a man who has earned a HUGE amount of respect in the Offshore Gaming Industry. There is NOBODY on this planet that I would rather have owe me money. No one.
Ken is not perfect and has shared with me some of his past mistakes in life. He has no regrets but does wish he would have carried himself differently in certain situations in life. The fact is none of us are angels here. We all have skeletons. Kens just get more publicity because of his stature in this community.
In closing, I consider Ken to be a true FRIEND. (And I can count all of those I have on ONE hand). I respect him and I would laugh at anyone who doesnt think Ken is a man of good character.
P.S. It was nice to see Mike not have anything negative to say about the OSU family. Mike and I always got along and I respected his abilities as a huge forum draw and inventor of new ways to keep things fun/fresh in forumville. I always thought he should be working on paying Ttinco and he knew that.
P.S.S. Just remember Mike that as you throw Ken under the bus you are running over innocent people as you do it. If you got a beef with Ken, cool. But the other people you are mentioning have done nothing that deserves for them to be included in your vendetta against Shrink. My .02
