MY POSITION ON THE MIDDLE EAST AS A WHOLE

So I can spell it out for Doc..
You are right, I do not give 2 shits in the wind for any of them there.
Had I been president on 9/11 the whole middle east would be gone.

I am sick of this nation going anywhere, middle east or anywhere and tearing shit down and spending 2 shitloads to do it then spending 5 shitloads to rebuild it.

The problem with all our politicians is they grandstand and raise money for Haiti or somewhere in Isreal and starving kids when we have starving kids here at home....But no you don't see that on the news because its not popular.

Here is a theory...Lets better America, all the way around...spend ALL our money here on America....

And then and only then will i give a rats ass or should any of us as to what happens outside our borders.

Re: MY POSITION ON THE MIDDLE EAST AS A WHOLE

Just to make it clear, this includes but is not limited to, Russia, China, Japan, Africa
and so on and so forth.

Former Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith is claiming President George W. Bush was unaware that there were two major sects of Islam just two months before the President ordered troops to invade Iraq, RAW STORY has learned.
In his new book, The End of Iraq: How American Incompetence Created A War Without End, Galbraith, the son of the late economist John Kenneth Galbraith, claims that American leadership knew very little about the nature of Iraqi society and the problems it would face after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

A year after his ?Axis of Evil? speech before the U.S. Congress, President Bush met with three Iraqi Americans, one of whom became postwar Iraq?s first representative to the United States. The three described what they thought would be the political situation after the fall of Saddam Hussein. During their conversation with the President, Galbraith claims, it became apparent to them that Bush was unfamiliar with the distinction between Sunnis and Shiites.

Galbraith reports that the three of them spent some time explaining to Bush that there are two different sects in Islam--to which the President allegedly responded, ?I thought the Iraqis were Muslims!?

The mideast is going to be stuck harvesting sand soon enough as co2 emissions have rendered oil a dead and dying business. There will plenty of oil under all that sand for the milleniums, and it will be arab people who pay the price for gluttonous, lying leadership, who deflect their anger onto the tiny nation of Israel. But them oil shieks get a new mercedes every year.

A true AMERICAN attitude if there ever was one. Stick our nose where it doesn't belong and then act incredulous and downright angry when the people who were fooled with get upset and fight back.

KT, if those are your TRUE feelings, you had a chance to vote for Ron Paul. The one candidate running in 2008 that shared them with you.

Re: MY POSITION ON THE MIDDLE EAST AS A WHOLE

His downfall was that he spoke the truth. Americans want their politicians to blow sunshine up their asses 24/7. Ron Paul predicted *EVERYTHING* that just happened in the US with regards to the economy. And for that, he was written off and derided as a kook.

Those who speak the truth are always ridiculed ...

And so are crazy people with tin foil on their heads in psych wards across this country. Are we supposed to turn over the keys to this country to the fringe of our society because occasionally 1 or 2 turn out to be correct on an issue?

Obama attends conservative dinner party
Posted by Steve Thomma Tue Jan 13, 9:02 pm ET

This could ruin their reputation: President-elect Barack Obama Tuesday evening [1/13/2009]attending a dinner party at the home of conservative columnist George Will, attended by fellow conservatives William Kristol and David Brooks.

The press pool following the president-elect reported that he left his temporary home at Washington?s Hay-Adams hotel Tuesday evening and arrived a short time later at Will?s home in the Maryland suburbs. A press pool photographer shot a photo of Kristol, an editor of the Weekly Standard, and Brooks, a columnist at the New York Times.

Unbelievable!!

While "New York Jews" are legendary, even on the other side of the Planet, the incredible display of this groups' apparent indoctrination has taken me by surprise.

Unbelievable!! (and very, very tragic for the Palestinian people who have lived, minding their own business, half a World away in the land of THEIR OWN ancestors from time immemorial.)

I am shocked and saddened ...

Who wants to be a millionaire?

James West
Jan 15, 2009
Excerpts from:
http://www.321gold.com/editorials/west/west011509.html

...greed has now reached destructive proportions.

There exists a simple equation, yet to be published or even determined perhaps that goes something like this:

For each million dollars in private wealth, there is a proportional dollar value of resources that must be extracted from the earth and pressed into industrial service to become a part of or in itself a given product. Each of these million dollars in personal wealth then causes the requirement for purchasers and end users of such products. If an insufficient number exist, then technically that representative million dollars in private holdings should be diminished proportional to the reduced market for the correlated product. However, this equations logic fails in the face of credit. And expressing that consumption uniformly is next to impossible, considering the vastly fragmented nature of our economy.

Unfortunately, the correlation between elevated levels of private wealth and the global resource ponzi pyramid are not recognized in modern education and therefore current value systems as dangerous and terminal. On the contrary, private wealth is universally perceived as the reward for hard work and good citizenship. It is our value system that is corrupt, and that is in turn reflected in government, banking, education and family.

Assuming a future that survives this great economic catastrophe, there needs to be a revaluation of human activity.

With the advent of free information flow, education itself becomes somewhat obsolete, since all you can learn in a university can be learned through sources obtained online. That means a population that is increasingly educated, and therefore desirous of the same standard of living, theoretically, as the highest common denominator enjoys, since they come from the lowest, or at least, lower.

The resources and systems of the human race have reached a level of peak capacity, and since the resources of the planet are finite and now shrinking, it is incredibly myopic of us as a species to assume the outcome of this financial crisis will be a resumption of economic growth and development worldwide towards a mutually elevated standard of living.

Rather, the opposite is true. A resumption of the millionaire/billionaire race is sure to result in another version of the current situation.
Economists, as they are called by the post secondary education facilities (universities) they are churned out by, are saddled with the intellectually disfiguring and embarrassing mantra of perpetual growth. However, to criticize capitalism or suggest additional regulation is to be branded a socialist, or worse, a communist. These institutions are designed to churn out replicas and servants of the men who finance them. They no more comprehend the real essence of economics than they do the impossibility of perpetual growth, whose physics counterpart is perpetual motion.

The substitution of empire with economic hegemony in pursuit of that mantra is tyranny, whether practiced by a democratically elected or despotically confiscated government.

To forego this opportunity to evolve our understanding of ourselves and modify our pursuits (and our education institutions) accordingly is to guarantee the continuing disintegration of economy, ecology and ultimately population. For the surest outcome of all on a crowded planet of diminishing resources is warfare.

The opportunity and the lesson before us is to re-tool the whole value system to recognize that competition absent cooperation is self-destructive. If we don't limit our desire and therefore our pursuit of private wealth, we ensure our limited capacity for growth, evolution, and survival.

For me, personally, the pursuit of millions and billions has been severely impaired by the forced revaluation of my financial arsenal. I had a higher net worth when I was in high school than now.
I've learned valuable lessons from this financial catastrophe, foremost among them is that if we all pursue a standard of living representative of millionaires and billionaires, we're essentially doomed as a race.

Henceforth, my children will be taught that the pursuit of great personal wealth is essentially a criminal pursuit, and mastering the art of living modestly is the noble goal.

Re: MY POSITION ON THE MIDDLE EAST AS A WHOLE

sorry,
unlike some of you I do not have hours on end to spend on the internet and occasionally spell words incorrectly because i am in a hurry. You see, I have a life including a wife and 2 wonderful kids and I love spending time with them, so.........

I truly mainly care that I can provide a roof over my kids heads, food for them to eat, clothes for them to wear, etc.......

That is my job, to take care of my family...Unlike many of you I do not think it is the governments job...its mine..
but I am a man and well if you think the govt owes you then.....

so anyway...scrimmage...kiss my ass, don't care about you or you cut and paste comments... I still don't care about ISRAEL or much else of the middle east and the bullshit that they spew every day, either side of the coin...
politicians all lie, dems and repubs and most of the people on this site are not intelligent enough to know that.

NOW WHY DON'T YOU GUYS GO SEARCH SOME BLOGS, COME UP WITH A FUNNY ANSWER AND TALK ABOUT US NOT LANDING ON THE MOON AND ALIENDS AND SUCH

Yeah he is intelligent but I can't say the same for you voters... I don't vote because I never did and never will believe it's not 100% rigged but you people somehow believe you matter...

Ok ....let's assume you do.. what's your problem people..?

The problem is YOU and your view on voting... If you believe in Ron Paul then f*ckin' vote for him!!! This is not a bandwagon sports team or a dog and pony show! You don't vote for who is going to win like it's the home coming queen in H.S. you vote for who you think is the best for the job even if yours is the only vote...

The most absurd comment I heard EVERY election is "I want my vote to count".. like they think their vote will be the differance and they actually think their vote amoung MILLIONS matters more then their vote amoung hundreds or thousands...

Try and keep this in mind for the next election.. Democracy is not a popularity or bandwagon contest... You vote for who you want and believe in not who the media tells you has the best chance of winning... I get sick just hearing or reading that sh*t...
