Its just more glamorous (and safe) to say the AL EAST; MORE CHIC.
The truth is the Rays lack offensive consistency, the Yanks dont pitch, and the Red Sox, well they're not too bad lol.. but Ortiz has been hurt, and Manny has not been Manny so well. They arent the offensive jaugernaut they had been, although they still work counts and see alot of pitches.
This is incorrect IMO. The Brewers are better than any AL East Team IMO. And I rate the Reds Pirates and Astros right there with the Orioles and Blue Jays. St Louis Milwakee and Chicago would give BoSox Yanks and Rays all they want. Cards are getting back Carpenter and Wainwright, and CC is a Brewer. The Cards have all around depth and solid defense, the Cubs have great Pitching and (especially with Soriano) and strong offensive unit along with the slugging Brewers who can really hit (Mike Cameron hits 7th for them) who also have CC and Sheets.
