Dbacks bats have been sleeping the last two games, now they come alive.. I liked the lefty Rodriguez but he is getting shelled... Micah Owings looks like fucking nolan ryan out there.. Glad I took the stro's...
Micah has the potential to be a big star in MLB... One of the Top Prospects in the game with a 95+ MPH heater and a sold slide Piece and 12/6 Curve... Breeze thru every level of the Minors. So him doing this to any team is not surprising.
He spent less than a year in the Minors with Hellacios Stats... last year in AA and AAA he was 11-2 with a 1 something ERA with 3/1 K's to BBs

Highly touted just like the kid in Philly who is finding his own this year, first pitcher to 6 wins this year. But that kid is the direct opposite of Micah....he kills you with that left arm and that changeup that gets slower and slower.

this guy wouldnt make a flea on cole hamels ass. thats ok, not many would.
Agreed.. Not in the same league yet..:newsmile055: Dawg Pound. Somebody post some stats..
Dirty where was the POY thread for this game? LOL
yeah, he'll be 25 in sept, hes older than a lot of the guys. i could name 50+ guys at 24 or younger that i would take over him. not that hes not good, but one of the top prospects is a bit much. i guess it depends on how you define 'top'. i dont have his minor league stats in front of me. i watched him this year, he was not real impressive in terms of naural stuff. we'll see.
well, hamels is the younger of the two, so its not likely that owings will catch up. micah is lucky to be in the nl and in the worst division in baseball. those things will help his stats. playing in sf, lad, and sd is as good as it gets. the biggest parks and the worst lineups to face. cole pitches in the best hitters park in baseball. hamels is one of the best young pitchers...ever, so far. in terms of Ks per innings pitched hes about 5th all time at this point in his career.
Phils can score some runs as well...Stros haven't scored since the Toy Cannon was there. Just saying they were both highly touted, and Cole didn't exactly set the world on fire last year. Difference with Hammel is that he is a pitcher...kind of like a left-handed Maddox who nibbles and drives you nuts with that changeup. Micah can throw a ball through a brick wall.

And can hit with anyone as well... He hit almost .500 in the Minors as a part time DH... He very well could be a power hitting First baseman as well

Now you're getting a bit carried away Dirty. I can't defend you here.
Now you're getting a bit carried away Dirty. I can't defend you here. Hitting stats in the minors mean absolutely NADA most of the time.
They should have pinch hit him against the rockies....:+signs15-
Mo...I'll give you an example. Years ago the Phils had this can't miss kid in the minors...real nice outfielder who never hit under .300 in the PCL and always had 25+ dingers/season. The name of this kid was Mike Anderson. I think he left the game with a lifetime batting average of .227:LMAO :LMAO :LMAO :LMAO :LMAO :LMAO

They showed his hitting stats on a game the other day from the minors... he was like 16 for 38 or some shit... He was a DH at GT and Tulane and here are his NCAA hitting stats...

define, a 'ton of money'. hamels was drafted in 2002, in the first round. i only made a joke b/c its hard to take your post seriously. i understand b/c you know the kid and thats fine, but to suggest that he cared more about his academics than hamels did is comedy. certainly you didnt mean it exactly as it read, but come on...
hamels is more talented, thats why he didnt go to college. micah never had an era around 1 something and he didnt have the K rate to suggest that he would dominate in the big leagues. hes not a 'top' prospect if you are talking about the top 50 or so guys at his age or younger.
No doubt there it is... Power is Power.. But he's not hitting against Auburn and Florida in the bigs....
Not true Mo......ID had him ranked 12th overall in his mock draft
