I always play small on the over on the Island just to have action..... but tonite I had a 2 unit bet on it as I thought it was off...couldn't understand why it dropped...oh well it worked out.... thank goodness

It had to have been a late night "wise guy"/syndicate play that drove that total down so much. Hawaii games are natorious for having TONS of late action. A few weeks ago, in that Nevada / Hawaii game the line went nuts. Everyone was on Hawaii, and the line moved 4 points.

BTW, if you ever want to figure projections on a game with a given spread and total, its a simple mathematical formula.
TOTAL - (1/2TOTAL + 1/2SPREAD) = Team underdog total
Total - Team underdog total = Team favorite total
EXP:
CHICAGO BEARS (-16.5) vs San Francisco 49ers
with a TOTAL: 42
42 - (21 + 8.25) = 12.75
42- 12.75 = 29.25
Projects:
Bears: 29.25
49ers:12.75
So your team totals will be near those #'s most of the time..
