What happens when a second rate writer suddenly decides to become a capper? Sometimes they may hit a lucky week, but more often than not, their lack of talent and complete lack of research makes itself painfully evident, and one can only hope that no one was foolish enough to lay money on the selections that these people put out, touted as if they are quality, researched plays.
Such was the case this weekend with somewhat well known, and often believed to be scenial, "journalist", recently converted to "handicapper", Buzz Daly released his selections in the weekend edition of the Las Vegas Review Journal. The following selections were released to the betting public by Daly:
1. Tampa Bay Under 33 -- Loser
2. Kansas City +2 1/2 -- Loser
3. Miami +3 -- Loser
4. Chicago -13 -- Loser
5. NY Giants -9 1/2 -- Loser
6. Arizona +4 -- Loser
7. Baltimore +6 1/2 -- Loser
8. Houston/Indianapolis -- Pass
9. NY Jets +9 -- Loser
10. Oakland +3 -- Loser
11. Seattle Over 51 -- Loser
12. Green Bay +9 1/2 -- Winner
13. Cleveland +8 -- Loser
14. Philadelphia =2 1/2 -- Loser
I remember last week, fellow capper Dennis Tobler mentioned one of Daly's wins on a single game and was quoted as saying "I hope you made as much money on that play as I did."
Well tell us Dennis, how much money did you make this week?
:+excited-
And exactly what does it take for one to suddenly become a handicapper? My personal plays were 8 wins 2 losses this week. Maybe I should say I'm a capper too.
Honestly, this guy should stop pretending to be a handicapper and go back to doing what he does best, writing a two cent gossip piece, but even that is poorly structured with no real research behind it. Go figure.
