Hard-trying player went undrafted in 1996 out of Texas Tech.

Played in the league for six teams over eight seasons.

Started his NBA coaching career with the Lakers and then the Hawks and most recently the Bucks.

I assume he has a good rapport with LeBron James.

You knew Ham was an important piece on Budenholzer's bench when Ham went from Atlanta to Milwaukee with "Coach Bud."

Darvin Ham was on the Detroit Pistons roster when Billups, Hamilton, Prince and the Wallaces (Ben and Rasheed) won a title.

When the Pistons surprised the Lakers in five games to win the 2004 NBA Finals, I faintly remember a series price of Lakers -400/Pistons +300.

Looks like Darvin Ham was mostly a benchwarmer on that 2003-04 Pistons team.

Ham played in four of the five Finals games, logging a grand total of seven minutes over four appearances.

At least Ham had rank on 18-year-old Darko Milicic, who also won a ring with that Pistons team.

Darko only played in three of the five Finals games for a total of four minutes.

He was very limited offensively, saw some monster slams when he a Bucks player, very high energy guy and a good defender.

Phil Handy played college hoops at Hawaii.

I remember him as a hard-nosed sort.

He's a legend in NBA player development circles.

The above was early in the season. Screwy lineups, bad rapport with players. He's as good as gone.
