Since we're past the peak, each and every day from now on this pandemic will get a little bit better, the doom and gloomers are in for a rough time.
I'm a little worried about the doom and gloomers. Can you imagine if that slope continues downward all week.Since we're past the peak, each and every day from now on this pandemic will get a little bit better, the doom and gloomers are in for a rough time.
Several meaning 3? Many of the smaller states are predicted to peak near the end of the month, so that's 2 weeks, so we have an extra week or so disagreement. big deal?AUSTIN, Texas — A model that projects COVID-19 deaths for all 50 U.S. states using geolocation data from cellphones to determine the impact of social distancing within each state is showing it may be another several weeks until deaths peak for most states.
Update - 110 people now positive at that plant - run for the hills.Did you hear there's a wind power factory in ND with an outbreak, 20-30 workers positive...oh boy, shut them down baby. LOL
Pretty soon it'll be "I know a guy who knows a guy, who's cousins sisters boyfriend has it".

It's over heisi, we're at the point now where the general data doesn't feed hysteria, so people are forced to use specific outbreaks to do that...ooh a meat plant here, a nursing home there, a factory over there.
[/QUOTE]I hope we are past the curve so we can all get back to normal. If things aren’t done correctly however it could escalate worse than it already has. That’s not doom and gloom. That’s reality.
I doubt it will last unless there is a big drop off, that is possible though.Fair Warning has been the most accurate on numbers according to ComptrBob's thread.
Trump needs to come out and say he's no longer interested in when or if places like NY and CA reopen, you have clowns like deblasio saying "we're the engine of america", trump needs to say "well, they're not the engine of my re election strategy"?
Headline in today’s NYT - GOP To Make China The Scapegoat.
Scapegoat? That implies unjustified fault being cast. they are to blame. Now the economic impact here, that is almost all our fault.Headline in today’s NYT - GOP To Make China The Scapegoat.

Thats going to be tough to pull off with trump licking Xi’s boots like has has been lately
The whole point of this was to keep the system from getting overwhelmed, it was never to stop disease spread...that's the reality.
This was obvious, the Times didn't need to tell us this. Going forward the right will blame China and WHO for the spreading of the virus, they'll deflect any and all blame away from trump, they won't assign any blame at all to him, rather lay it all in the laps of China and WHO. BTW, China and WHO do have some explaining to do, they're both at fault in this mess, and after we're back to normal there will be hearings on how China and WHO fucked this thing up at the start. However, to say the president also doesn't get any blame is ludicrous, all three deserve blame, and when those hearings about China and WHO take place, there also needs to be hearings on how Trump fucked this thing up at the start as well. Of course you'll never get anyone on the right to blame Trump at all, that's how the right operates
So is Trump, but you'll never admit it

The GOP doesn't have to. Everyone already knows its China's fault.
From the article, Trump sticks his toe in the water on the topic while others want him to dive in. It will be interesting to see how many other countries share that same opinion.

Deaths way down again in NY, Cuomo grudgingly admitting it, but he says we can never let up, the beast is still out there. So now he's paralyzed with fear, incapable of really doing anything, some leader.
What do you want him to do in NYC? Ultimately its going to be on the people feeling safe to come back to work.Deaths way down again in NY, Cuomo grudgingly admitting it, but he says we can never let up, the beast is still out there. I would open up most businesses and have them follow modest social distancing protocols(not extreme) in maybe 3 weeks in NY city. He should allow everything to open up upstate right now. What do you want him to do in NYC? Ultimately its going to be on the people feeling safe to come back to work.

Ny still has 7-8000 positives a day, assuming the real number is 10 times that at least, that's 75000 people a day, they're well on their way to running out of people to infect.Cuomo making a big deal out of how much testing NY does, claiming more per capita than any state or any other country. Well, err .. no, Rhode Island does the most at 31,067/M, NY at 30,407/M and Louisiana at 29,591/M. As far as countries, Iceland has 120,416/M, UAE has 77,550/M (767,000 total) plus others.
Which ones would open and which ones not? (should have asked this before)I would open up most businesses and have them follow modest social distancing protocols(not extreme) in maybe 3 weeks in NY city. He should allow everything to open up upstate right now.
I hear a lot of comments about will people come back, will they feel safe, blah, blah, that has nothing to do with this. the market will decide that.
