AUSTIN, Texas — A model that projects COVID-19 deaths for all 50 U.S. states using geolocation data from cellphones to determine the impact of social distancing within each state is showing it may be another several weeks until deaths peak for most states.
I'm a little worried about the doom and gloomers. Can you imagine if that slope continues downward all week.

Several meaning 3? Many of the smaller states are predicted to peak near the end of the month, so that's 2 weeks, so we have an extra week or so disagreement. big deal?
It's over heisi, we're at the point now where the general data doesn't feed hysteria, so people are forced to use specific outbreaks to do that...ooh a meat plant here, a nursing home there, a factory over there.

If some governors and local areas don't get creative with opening things up within the Federal guidelines from Thursday we will see violence or attempted violence as people lose their minds in the next 10-14 days.
other areas will have to resist opening up as they see other places coming down while their areas are uncharacteristically going up due to regional differences in time of spread.
We at least need to put the sole focus on where hospitals can get going on elective stuff and protecting key industry areas

Going forward the right will blame China and WHO for the spreading of the virus, they'll deflect any and all blame away from trump, they won't assign any blame at all to him, rather lay it all in the laps of China and WHO. BTW, China and WHO do have some explaining to do, they're both at fault in this mess, and after we're back to normal there will be hearings on how China and WHO fucked this thing up at the start. However, to say the president also doesn't get any blame is ludicrous, all three deserve blame, and when those hearings about China and WHO take place, there also needs to be hearings on how Trump fucked this thing up at the start as well. Of course you'll never get anyone on the right to blame Trump at all, that's how the right operates

I would open up most businesses and have them follow modest social distancing protocols(not extreme) in maybe 3 weeks in NY city. He should allow everything to open up upstate right now.
I hear a lot of comments about will people come back, will they feel safe, blah, blah, that has nothing to do with this. the market will decide that.

Well, err .. no, Rhode Island does the most at 31,067/M, NY at 30,407/M and Louisiana at 29,591/M. As far as countries, Iceland has 120,416/M, UAE has 77,550/M (767,000 total) plus others.
