This is reminding me of my old caddy. A number of years ago the golf course was just starting and still didn't have a snack shop. My lady would make me a nice big sandwich to eat at the turn. Not wanting to eat in front of him I asked for her to make one for him too. Did this many times.
One day before I left she had no time to make the sandwiches, for him or me. When he found out he wasn't getting his usual free sandwich he was genuinelly pissed. At what point does a free service become a damned obligation? Bucs has a day job and a life and doesn't deserve to get reprimanded for what time he provides his free picks. By the way, I switched caddies!

People have a need to follow, and BJ makes a point it is hard to follow when he posts so late. He sort of went South on the customer and paid employee argument, but initially he was right. And I am sure there would be a lot more people agreeing with him if they were not afraid of offending Bucs.
There are extenuating circumstances, computer problems, etc. But after those are resolved this should become an item. At what point is releasing a play too late? Personally I try for 15 minutes before post, if the line is moving against me. But I don't hesitate to post overnight's either. Culver posts hours before the games. There is a large player advantage for that as you can shop lines, look it over yourself, and maybe throw a play out. While I do not agree with the EOG employee, and we are all customers argument, I do agree it is beneficial for the majority of followers to get those plays early. It is also beneficial to have open dialogue when you have a beef. I think constructive criticism is good for all involved. When you have a large audience, a larger following, you do owe a little something for that loyalty. Just my 2 cents.

Bucs and FROG are like oil and water. We just don't mix. But we never had a beef either. At least not that I can remember. I would hope that our relationship would be best be described as mutual respect. We has some great threads and debates over time. His accomplishments speak for themselves. He is very good at what he does, and has the loyal followers to prove it. However I feel feedback is required, if you have any kind of business, it is desired. And if someone chimes in he has trouble because of the current circumstances, the normal reaction is to demonize and criticize. So effectively all legit feedback that could be viewed negatively, but is even more important is surpressed. Anybody can say great job. Just like anyone can say you suck. There is a wide gap between constructive criticism, feedback and bashing. I just felt Blackjack has the right to voice his opinion, being that is the concept of a forum. I also felt that EOG, Bucs sponsor and he himself would actually like to hear how they could improve their business. I know I value it.

I have no problems with your post. I agree that the forum should be a place for discussion. A discussion. Constructive criticism? Sure, it should be welcomed.
However, reading from the posts, I don't understand it as being a discussion when someone makes statements such as:
"cant he call you & you paste them?"
"what kind of a mickey mouse operation is this? this is about money"
"I think Shrink should address this situation immediatly....."
"managment needs to address this situation :+whipping"
From these comments, I understand this as a desperate "customer" making his demands and whining like a little girl until he gets his way. Not only is he disrespecting Bucsfan, but also the folks running EOG. Bucsfan has an email address. I'm sure BJ can write him directly with these comments to see what type of response he'd get. If he was more tactful in his approach, maybe people like me wouldn't be so defensive. IF anyone is THIS desperate for the picks, they should pay attention to the rest of the forum cappers and find someone else to follow. Bucsfan isn't the only one. Either that, or else they should start making their own picks. As I stated before, I feel fortunate to be exposed to some great cappers here and always thankful for it. However, that wouldn't hold me back from giving constructive feedback.
I personally came to EOG to get away from the bashing, attacking peoples' threads, and overall nonsense and hope it stays that way. Voicing opinions should be welcome. It's when a poster like BJ decides to act like a 5 year old that people lose respect for a poster.<!-- / message -->
