Sumlin and the coaching staff have been fine-tuning the offensive line, utilizing different combinations of players to patch the holes left by the injuries of senior SirVincent Rogers, redshirt freshman Chris Thompson and junior Josh Bell.
IA ST-“Big plays were the name of the game defensively and again not being able to handle third downs. I thought we played really bad defensively. We've got to get better.” — Iowa St coach Gene Cjizik on OSU's 95 and 80-yard scoring plays

UTAH ST-starting center Tonnemacher and starting wr Nelson both out versus boise.According to Guy, the Aggies played seven freshmen on the opening offensive and defensive possessions against Hawaii. "We have recruited enough talent to go play with some of these teams," he said. "To me, that's probably as much of an indication of progress" as Utah State's wire-to-wire win over Hawaii.
RUTGERS-no injuries Defensive tackle Alex Silvestro said he isn't worried about his teammates being caught up in the renewed energy from the current two-game winning streak, with many outsiders predicting the Knights (3-5 overall) will run the table, finish 7-5 and be bowl-bound for the fourth straight year.

RICE-starting LB Raines out for the year. For only the ninth time since 1961, but the second time since 2006, the football team is bowl eligible. Unlike the 2006 campaign, however, the team did not have to wait until the season's waning moments to qualify

I do have to say though, I am glad Penn St. lost...they deserved to lose..
You wanna talk about overated. Your suppose to be elite, and you basically let a one dimensional team beat you all day . I'm glad they lost now and save the embarrasment of being destroyed by any of the Big 12 South Teams( TX,TT,OK,OK St) or a SEC team like Alabama or Florida in the championship game. I think everyone would like to see a BIG12 SEC championship....ANy of those combinations would be more interesting.
No one wants to see a BIG10 team in the chamionship besides PEnn state fans.
