New here to the site and got on Clemson ML.
Swank could possibly be the best kicker in college football, FSU game aside, with a very powerful leg. I imagine most of his kicks are for touchbacks, so his absence could provide for better field position for Clemson.
Not sure but I think Swank also punted for Wake. Anyone know?

Kicker out, Great kicker as well. Line move doesn't really cross any key numbers, Florida St line moved the exact same way on Saturday.
I would be interested to get info on a local to see what kind of action they're getting. I don't believe this is a ton of money on Clemson, however more of an adjustment.
My numbers show Wake, and it's Wake or nothing for me right now.

Clemson has beaten one legitimate although sub-par team in N.C. St. They lose at home to Maryland and beat up on The Citadel and S.C. St. And lose badly to Alabama. And they are a favorite over a tough Wake team who have at least couple semi quality wins over Fla St. and Ole MIss. They had a tank job vs Navy which is a little mysterious but of a bye and home vs this unproven over-rated Clemson team is poopycock!

Wake Forest was embarrassed by the Midshipmen two weeks ago, 24-17...in spite of Riley Skinner throwing for 270 yards. The Deacons will get a chance to get their act together this week against a Clemson defense that isn't all that frightening (200.8 passing yards, 115.4 rushing yards).
The Demon Deacons have gone 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS in their last three home meetings against the Tigers.
The Demons Deacons have a great chance to win the ACC in 2008 but in order to accomplish that they must take care of business in Winston-Salem against Clemson. They will have revenge on their minds since the Tigers dominated this game in 2007 winning, 44-10. Coach Jim Grobe has had great success against Clemson ATS, losing just once in seven attempts and this team is ready to make a statement after a disappointment against Navy two weeks ago. They have not played a game since that loss and will enter this week rested and healthy ready to attack an overrated Clemson squad. The Deacons shut down the running of the Tigers and pull away late to give us the victory.

Mic on Clemson, I like Wake. Opener was Wake-2.5, can get +2 now. Got to consider that value. However, no key numbers are crossed, and with Mic and the line move being late possibly indicating sharp $, I will pass. GL to all who play. May look at UAB instead.

I hemmed and hawwed on this one for a while before settling on Clemson.
Clemson's advantage in athleticism is offset by Wake's in coaching.
If I'm Bowden, after watching Navy tear Wake apart on the ground, I'm giving the ball to Davis and Spiller 30 times each. Granted, it's a completely different offense than the Midshipmen's option, but I don't think the Deacons have an athlete on either side of the ball on par with those backs.
Wake, to me, is a team kind of like UConn. They are well-coached and play smart, tough football. But they don't match up with the big dogs athletically (see last year's Clemson game, which I watched on live television. The Tigers looked like NFLers compared to Wake's high schoolers).
Skinner is not good enough to take over a game, and Wake's not good enough elsewhere on the field, in my opinion, to allow him to merely "manage the game."
If Bowden would wake up and put his players in a position to win, Clemson would win this one easy. As it is, I still think they prevail.
Clemson is coming off a bye after a brutal loss to Maryland, so they've had plenty of time to prepare for this one, and Wake, a small school, will not have a huge home-field advantage, in my opinion. In fact, I'm there will be a sizeable chunk of Clemson fans in the crowd.
In any event, best of luck to all. Hardly my favorite play of the year, but it never hurts to have a little extra incentive to watch these weekday games lol.
