Does anyone feel that candidates shouldn't smear other candidates as part of their 'campaign'?
Why not just say why YOU are a good candidate, why the need to talk bad about the other guy?
If both parties just agree to not say anything bad about their rival, we'd all be better off, no?

negative campaigning has been around since John Adams and Thomas Jefferson went against each other. The concept of declaring the other a lying cheat with extremist and immoral values is a recurring theme in our history. Back then, newspapers would print slanderous accusations about the candidates wives and just about anything to sell more papers.
