FACTS is going with duke -7 over virginia
As we head into week 5 in coll fb i think i may have spotted the best mismatch on the board.
Follow me on this one DUKE has not been a favorite of 7 or more points in 5 years actually they only have been a favorite 3 times since 2002
now oddsmakers dont normally make teams favorite who lose 90% of there games straight up over anybody but they have there reasons.
DUKE NOW SCORES POINTS DAVID CUTCLIFFE HAS THE DEVILS 2-1 AND IN THE COMFORTS OF HOME FOR THE 4TH STRAIGHT GAME
last year i was at the virginia -duke game where duke was a 18 point dog
and actually outplayed uva trailing just 17-13 in the 4th qtr
duke actually played 3 good games last year all 3 games back to back to back
1. vs uva which they covered
2. vs nortwestern which they won straight up
3. vs navy which they lost 46-43 again they covered
ODDLY ENOUGH THESE WERE 3 ROAD GAMES IN A ROW

1. navy
2 nortwesten

HOW OFTEN DO U SEE A TEAM ,VIRGINIA WHO LAST YEAR WAS A 18 POINT FAVORITE AND A TEAM WHO PLAYED ON NEW YEARS DAY
COME RIGHT BACK VS A TEAM THAT THEY BEAT 8 TIMES IN A ROW AND ARE 12-1 THE LAST 13 YRS

well thats easy virginia is a team that is falling apart
Al Groh has lost more players for academics,arrests.and team violations
that has most of the players walking on eggs. usc tried to be nice and destroyed them. they struggled with richmond not a mis print richmond
then the roof cave in they lost there starting qb pete lalich
with no one with any expierence to take over a team that all they can do is hand off to mikell simpson and cedric pearman
that one dimensional offense was exposed in there last game vs u conn
the wahoos cant stop anyone and they cant outscore anyone
DUKE IM LAYING 7 AND WOULD BE SHOCKED IF 8 YEARS OF FUSTRATION
AND HOW CLOSE THEY CAME LAST YEAR WOULD LEAD ME TO BELIEVE
DUKE RUNS UP THE SCORE ON THIS UNDERMANNED VIRGINIA TEAM
i think the oddsmakers did all they could do and make this a line of 7
as the true odds would be 14
but people still look at duke as the old duke... i did as well 2 weeks ago vs northwestern. but in this buisness if you cant learn from a mistake
you will not succeed
