I got my posting handle by naming myself what I did in a previous life...

was given the name "Wink" by friends at Channel 5 in LA around 1989-90

When the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim started up in the 1993-94 season i got a job on the gameday stats crew

My friend needed to find a way to combine "Wink" and "Duck" and came up with............

Several years ago(Lakers vs sixers championship year) I tore up the NBA for just about the entire year and my buddy started calling me Mr NBA and to this day he calls me that more than my real name:blink: and I have known him since grade school.:+textinb3

i was logging on to eog for the first time and also checking my kids homework . i had no idea for a name and had just told him he almost got all the problems right. hence.....an extremely lame story.

Years ago, on a news discussion board, there was some kind of News of the Weird story about cows, and I created Moo Sharpton to comment on it. It was supposed to be a one time gag, but he stayed at that board for a long time, commenting on things by essentially just Mooing all the time.

Example:

Moo Moo Moo Vote For?
Moo-cain moo moo old.
Obamoo moo moo inexperienmoo.

Moo?

Moo.

Dumb bit, but fun. Anyway, I just kept the name.

Beckett Grading System (baseball card grading)

Until recently, the highest grade attainable was 9.5 out of 10

Funny this is, I attended Bowling Green State University for a year, and most people I know think it has to do with that.

I've been lurking for so long that I don't recall when I first came over. It may have been when Bucsfan came over. I lurk here, and two other...um...fairly prominent places, but this is the only forum I have started posted regularly on, the atmosphere here just seems mellower.

D) I had a habit of hitting all the girls & younger punks in grade school

E) Early in my gambling career, I had a penchant for hitting big parlays

F) In college, I hit on every gal I could find, so they called me that

My wife and I were talking about Edgar Martinez and how he tore up the NYY in the playoffs and she said "Yes, he was Enfuego."

We're as white as can be but it just sounded good to me. She's met Edgar and says he's a hell of a guy.
