Is There A Car Mechanic In The House? Gasoline Help.

I ventured out a little bit earlier to spend a few more casino-provided free gas cards at my neighborhood Shell station

$4.19 for 87 octane. That actually dropped a few cents.
$4.29 for 89 octane.
$4.39 for 91 octane.

In 2008, who even buys levels 2 and 3? What do you have to be driving to qualify? Like 1965 GTO's, 1978 Cadillac Eldorados, John Deere tractors, or state-of-the art Lamborghinis, Testarossas, and Maseratis?

Two-thirds of the gas sign on the corner is devoted to obscure (89 and 91 octane) gas engines? What kind of elitists are you?

Who uses anything other than 87 octane?

I use 91. My car requires it.

Of course,i bought the car when gas was reasonable.

Unless your owners manual calls for higher octane fuel, there is no real benefit from using anything higher than 87 imo

As far as modern cars, basically high performance automobiles (those higher in horse power)

I have always used 89 octane out of habit more than anything else...

Well sure, Blondie, when you are driving the EOG corporate H2 Hummer out to the airport to the Gulfstream 5.
