instead of a Lurker? Was it a comment made by some poster you really agreed/disagreed with? A subject matter that really caught your eye? Bored out of your mind?

For me it's just that I decided that lurking around these Forums for 9 years now was long enough. I log into all of the main ones 3 or 4 times a day to see if I can learn anything new about the business, the world in general, breaking stories, and my fellow man. I have learned a lot from you guys. I have had a lot of eye opening moments while browsing the forums, both good and bad. All in all, really positive experiences for me.

I hope in the future I will be less reluctant to post and be able to contribute on subjects that I am comfortable with.

Yes about 9 yrs ago ....I was betting online at the time with Carib Sports and I saw an question, can not remember what it was ....I registered across the street and answered it ...I was labled a ghost ...sort of like how most newbees are judged today and I guess rightly so as many are ghosts ....

but the new posters that are legit and not ghosts get the raw end if they take a chance to become a poster instead of a lurker and get blasted

WOW Chuck, you signed up about the same time I did (right after EOG opened). Good to see that you're coming out from lurker ranks

Me personally, I first starting joining forums when I was looking for advice on posting up at books, played a few contests and ended up getting (nearly) addicted to the forums

It's actually kind of funny ... I see a topic that I might have some interest in, and by the time i'm finished reading all the posts, someone has all ready posted what would have been my response ... lol

And about my Avatar, I borrowed it from somewhere ... just like my potential posts, someone already took it.

i have no clue what made me start posting, why i am here to this day or why i plan on continuing to come here, but its a fun time :cheers

I started posting at Freewinners so to try and learn more about gambling and to share my betting selections back when I handicapped the board daily. Then the lessons become so good I got hooked. Then I realized I had an opportunity to help people in disputes with sports books and that is something I really enjoy doing. I got hooked and then I got a passion. I don't regret anything except Freewinners failing because I am unsure I have ever visited another gambling portal with so much comradery back then. (2000). Now, every day brings some hate and nonsense, but I can still accomplish good things for me and others.

slow payouts from sportsbooks because of the new usa gambling laws looked for help , found none . haha
