Question for EOG posters that don't post a whole lot

I've noticed a lot of posters here on the forum that signed up around the time EOG opened it's doors, or soon thereafter with less than 100 or 200 posts.

My question is to those guys and gals:

What keeps you from posting much at the forum??

Is it just lack of time?? You just prefer to lurk and read others opinions?? Shyness?? Afraid you're gonna get flamed or caught up in the drama?? Other reason or reasons??

BTW, this ISN'T any sort of putdown AT ALL, glad you guys decided to register. Just wondering what keeps you guys from posting much.

It is great for those that have the time to post everyday. I will read the posts about 3 times a week. Post once in a while. I am hardly at home. I appreciate those that post often, I mean it is a forum and opinion's are like Asss.......... well you know what I mean.

Most of them have a life unlike myself and are just here for picks. If they want to talk they pick up the phone and talk to friends. Who wants to talk about peanut butter anyway.

10% of posts/threads are very useful and is enough reason to keep checking in here on a daily/semi daily basis. All the rest of that drama BS is only of interest to the same 10 guys that regurgitate the same crap over and over. Most people, undersrandably, could give a shit.

What Joey said, except that I'd limit it to maybe 5% of posts interesting enough to read; 1% to reply to.

Not that I don't have the time as I am retired. But there are other kinds of forums on the Net which tend to hold more interest for me: actual sports forums, politics, school & community forums, etc.

Come baseball season, I will be posting picks regularly on the EOG baseball forum. However, this is due to my ramrodding an MLB gambling club that needs a site which all the guys can pull up to see our picks, not just posting to "be seen," like so many EOG posts obviously are.

Lack of time, and with my personality, it would be too easy to get sucked into the drama. Knowing that, just lurk a thousand times more than I post.

The only sport that I'm really interested in is college football. That's where I post, but not a lot. Oh, and since dirty has called me a contest whore, I post in a couple of CFB contests. Damn, it's a long time til September.

Its hard to find topics about the books when you have so many posts about

wheelchair dumping
best cars

etc

Im not saying that SBR forum is better or not but they did come up with a good idea of double posting a sportsbook thread into a special forum for those that dont like to look through a mess of these types of threads

Its just too hard to find meaningful threads

Other than that I love the site
