Why do major books insult our intelligence?

Check this out from Bookmaker (CRIS). Please guys, I know a Pats win might be a risk to you, but this borders on being insulting. Offering a bad value is one thing, but offering something that is completely stupid is another.

Re: Why do major books insult our intelligence?

sportsbook.com has the Patriots at 2-7 (-350) to win the AFC, so CRIS' line looks good (relatively speaking). If New England's line is bad, the books will get action on the other teams and move NE's line up.

Re: Why do major books insult our intelligence?

i believe he's talking about NE's superbowl price being higher than that of the AFC championship price.

Who in the hell would take that, even if you switched them around?

Re: Why do major books insult our intelligence?

IF New England somehow does not make it we'd have one hell of a Super Bowl (on paper)

We still might, Dallas could give them a game... we have seen teams play with NE. Their defense is not that special at all.

They are a great team, but we have seen the Colts , Ravens, and Giants and even Philly all within a play or two of winning.

Oops, sorry. Didn't see that.

Re: Why do major books insult our intelligence?

What can you say about it? They might as well hang a sign on the website. WE DO NOT WANT ANY FUTURES BETS ON THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS.

That is their perogative. But, it rubs off on the integrity of their business offering a fair price to customers.

I guess they feel somewhat obligated to offer futures but there is no need to be in the business with those kind of prices.

Makes you appreciate a book that offers the YES or NO feature. Keeps them dealing an honest price.

Maybe, just maybe Bookmaker is NOT a top line book anymore???? This is not the only thing they are not competitive with. If they have turned into a sucker joint and only want bets from suckers that bet bad prices they are not a top line book! $200 for a withdrawal - stuff like that is BS.

Re: Why do major books insult our intelligence?

General : Why post prices from August ? It's not a valid comparison.

The CRIS price on AFC is actually not bad, but I don't get the SB price, and have a similar thread at RX.
