Granny is loading up her shotgun now and I suspect if the rodent doesn't shape-up soon, Granny will be eyeing him for Thanksgiving dinner...

Don't be too hard on the varmint, he was probably making preparations for a long cold winter, just throw in a few extra muffins this week & that will ease his concerns about starving this winter.
Be sure you put up a "Possum Crossing" sign down by the road...we'd hate for his season to come to a, umm...err... screeching halt.
