just what wondering which sportsbooks you all like to use and which ones i should stay away from?

The only one i have ever used is bodog, but it seems like not many people here use it.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks:thumbsup

Re: Favorite Online Sportsbooks?

Your question is very general. I like different books for different things. But I'll give you my broad answer. I am non-U.S. and will include exchanges:

Pinnacle
Matchbook (#1 for U.S. players IMO)
ABC Islands
WSEX
Mansion
BetAtlas
Greek

A little higher on the risk versus reward continuum but they have been very good to me:

SportsInteraction (their lines are freakishly good sometimes).
BetRoyal (occasional bonuses and occasional slow-moving lines).

You can't go wrong with WSEX/Matchbook, Bet Jam/Greek, 5Dimes, Legendz/The PIG

the greek ,bet jamaica ,bookmaker and [five dimes because of all the props].your money is safe in all four places unlike places like esb where me and my dad had 8,911 stolen, my dad got sick and had alot of sleepless nights.if you want to play at a low graded books keep your money low.my dad also got sick because of the grind of gambling ,hittin shots at the buzzard, and all the close games.thats why i love the greek when he says sweat the game and not the game payout.betting and winnig is fun but not at the wrong place.

Re: Favorite Online Sportsbooks?

BOOKMAKER

20% Bonuses, Free Sports pagers, A+ rated

Cant go wrong to have them in your arsenal.

You're welcome. Some people using an exchange for the first time get a bit discombobulated. There is slightly more to it than a regular sportsbook.

Well the only thing you need to do is remember the commission. Exchanges charge commissions. Matchbook has a 1% commission on baseball through September so you have to remember they're going to take 1% off your win amount. So if you see a line of +104, it's really +103. A line of -200 is really -202.

(I think they charge 2% on football. I haven't started betting football yet so I'm not sure. You could check or maybe someone could confirm.)

Believe me, even with that, Matchbook has the best lines around for U.S. players. But then some people don't want to mess with that and so you have some other good options for straight sportsbooks too.

We haven't talked about funding methods either; that can make a difference.

I remember that esb scam from, like, 2003. Do they still exist?

I just did a quick check and they were still trying to scam people under the name of Telebet as recently as December 2005.

Anyway, your advice is good to make safety a priority.

My favorite book is Pinny...
Best book of alltime. But, I don't have access anymore.

So, my favorite is TheGreek.
Betjamaica is 2nd of the 4 I have.

Sorry I would have to duck out of that part of the discussion. I am Canadian and have different options regarding offshore funding (due to your delightful laws).

I see Americans hashing these things out in terms of different dollar levels for Western Unions or different credit card availability at different books - but I haven't absorbed the details. Maybe you just need to take a quick look at the websites or make a quick call and everything becomes very clear. Probably whatever you were doing with Bodog would translate somewhere else.

I'm also not entirely sure about parlays and teasers at Matchbook. I'm pretty sure they don't have them but I'm not positive.

My usefulness may have run out. I'm sure other people here know.

i will check out these different sites that everyone has mentioned, and do some homework.

thanks again

Re: Favorite Online Sportsbooks?

I remember that esb scam from,
my first offshore book. Didn't they open around 1989? They moved to Ireland under telebet, got kicked out of Ireland , went back to Jamaica then moved back again to Ireland in August.

FiveCardCharlie.com was always easy to use and good on payment but I don't think they take bets by US bettors. I actually used them prior to VIP buying them out.

I was there when they first opened. At that time you had to pay a fee ( I think $89) to sign up with them.

I ended up losing with them so I never had a chance too make a withdrawal or try to make a withdrawal.

I was using locals at that time and just gave them a try.

Parlays and teasers are not available at Matchbook, but they do have futures and in-game betting.

Re: Favorite Online Sportsbooks?

When they first offered that Free $100 for everyone....They had to switch payment processors and it was taking 30-45 days to get everyone paid as they could only do 50 transactions a day with these guys. They had to find someone they Trusted after Citadel and Neteller were gone for american players. Citadel Kept money they had in books accounts to pay players for no reason. They were never publicly admonished or anything. They just voluntarily did this. Cost books millions at the time. Instead of getting burned again, they took these guys they trusted and could only process so many transactions a day and put them on waiting lists. They would then give you a ETA of when your funds would go out. They Developed a Big backlog. Once you requested a withdrawal, then you could not reverse it. They did this to keep you in the que line.

It took them 4-6 weeks, but they kept plugging away and taking heat on all the sites. They never waivered from their stance and eventually things got back on track. All we have heard the last 2 months or so is timely payouts and no slow pays at all....

There were never any NO PAYS with this book. Everyone to our Knowledge has been paid. They were slow for a while because of a few things, but they paid everyone.
