The glue, pops and myself went fishing today at the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel!! and witnessed and awesome site!!!!

The USS ENTERPRISE was pulling out of port in Norfolk!! The decks were lined with sailors in the dress whites and she was under heavy escort. Atleast 3 Coast Guard attack boats and 10 coppers clearing the way to the Atlantic!! If you got anywhere near that ship it would be curtains!!

I don't know how many of you have seen a Super Carrier up close, but let me tell you they are inspiring!! Massive!!! 14 stories from the bottom to the bridge.

It makes you proud to be an American, but the glue pointed out!! we have a mad man running the show!!

Still it is a flat out AWESOME site!! They can park that big bastard off of any coast and bring a shit storm like no other if needed!!

Jimmy that photo is of CVN-6 USS ENTERPRISE from the Pacific battles of WW2. Prolly the greatest war ship of all times!!

The one wE saw today was CVN-65 USS ENTERPRISE first nuclear carrier ever!!

Well seeing the BIG E!! Is awesome and the cause is just!!

I am just glad those fellas aren't going into IRAQ like the Army and Marines. Aircraft carrier life is dangerous, but at least no one is trying to kill you while you sleep!

I am proud of the great fighting men and women in Iraq and support the troops. It's just too bad our leader has us fighting in the wrong country!! Sooner or later we will leave Iraq the loser!! in the eyes of the world and our great fighting men/women don't deserve that title!!

Bush needs to take that title for a shitty job and poor planning, but hell he's making a ton of money on the war. Whats a few thousand lives and limbs!! Right!!:cheers

i got a fish story for ya
i was about 10yo and me my brother and father went on a charter in south shore long iland cap tree basen ,any way every one put in a 1.00 biggest fish won ,my dad covered it . no chit i caught the 1st and 2nd biggest flounder at the same time 2 on the line , pot was like 15 bucks ,my dad took the money and bought a bucket of kfc , never forget it

no f/n way they even had xtra crispy back then . we went to long ialand every summer to vist gmother ,we did what we wanted , walked everyday 8 blocks to bonos pizza , lindenhurst li

When I worked at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co. in the mid-seventies, I actually went on board the USS Eisenhower. Let me tell you, as impressive as it may be to look at one of these carriers, you can't get a real idea of how huge they are until you actually go on board one. I didn't actually go up on deck, I was down below but even there the thing is unbelievably massive.

My job at the yard was working on the Los Angeles class nuclear submarines. I actually worked on the Los Angeles itself, it was nearly finished when I started there in 1975.

MANAMA, BAHRAIN -- The U.S. navy has sent a third aircraft carrier to its Fifth Fleet area of operations, which includes Gulf waters close to Iran, the navy said on Tuesday.
"Enterprise (aircraft carrier) provides navy power to counter the assertive, disruptive and coercive behaviour of some countries, as well as support our soldiers and marines in Iraq and Afghanistan," a U.S. Navy statement said.
The move comes weeks after a flotilla of U.S. warships sailed through the narrowest point in the Gulf to hold exercises off Iran's coast in a major show of force.
Tension over Tehran's nuclear ambitions has raised regional fears of a military confrontation. Recent U.S. naval presence in the Gulf has been the largest since the 2003 Iraq war. The Fifth Fleet area of operations includes the Arabian Gulf, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Gulf of Oman and parts of the Indian Ocean.
