Somehow, a guy facing 30 years managed a plea that included the return of his passport. Sure he'll forfeit some property kept in the US (Mostly used for bail), but there are about 100 countries that won't extradite for conspiracy to promote gambling.
This guy basically got this guy off completely.
He'll either come back and feed the feds info in a prearranged deal for no jail, or he'll never reenter this crappy ass country.
This just about shows the DOJ knew it had nearly no chance of winning. I've never heard of a guy facing 30 years being given back his passport when his new charge is legal throughout the world. Have any of you?
