being in last place and favored have no correlation at all in baseball, and I wouldn't Celebrate too much. They are only 5.5 back with a shit pitching staff. I hate the Yankees as much as the next guy, but at least I can look at it objectively

Well they don't award the world series trophy after a 20 game season. It is over 162 game schedule, and every team in baseball from the best teams to the worst teams will have streaks that are better or worse than what the Yankees and Red Sox are having so far this year. That is just a fact of the matter...

Bottom line is the best team will lose 60 games most years and the Worst teams will win at least 60 most years.

all that is true. I havnt bet the red sox yet. if the "yankees cant lose again" crowd fires away and pushes the line up tomorrow from where it is this will be a no brainer bet on the red sox.

Early last season, I pretty much gave up on the Twins and look what they did after the All Star break. It is still early and anything can happen. The Yankees could at least win 100 games. (not that I want them to)

TO WIN 100 GAMES THEY NEED TO FINISH 92-50, .647, A BIT MORE REALISTIC THAN 102-40, .718 TO WIN 110 GAMES.....NEITHER OF WHICH WILL HAPPEN.
