Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

OK..I was just at their site making a very small withdrawal request..less than $100...
I don't know why because I don't think any of us are going to be paid big or small....

Anyway.. I go to live chat and ask for a confirmation e-mail...
Basically what I get is the cut and pasted script about a 10-12 day wait..Uh...They were telling us 10-12 days last week...I am wanting confirmation I withdrew, not another "timetable"

Here it is..:

Please wait for a site operator to respond. Your chat should be answered within 3 seconds. Thank you for your patience.
Hello, my name is Ricky Hudson. How may I help you today?
You: i just made a withdrawal request of 65$ but didnt receive a confirmation email
Ricky Hudson: Hi (my name) , one moment please
Ricky Hudson: Unfortunately, withdrawals made in the last two weeks or so have been subject to unusual delays due to the increased volume of checks. The recent change in our withdrawal policy means that all customers are now receiving their payment as a check. This, coupled with a change in processor, has caused significant backlogs which we are doing our utmost to clear.
You should receive your check within the next 10-12 business days. However, if you wish to cancel your pending withdrawal request just let us know and your funds will be available in your account within a few hours.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and we fully understand your frustration with this situation. Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we endeavor to minimise withdrawal processing times.

You: dude, i have gotten that message before...i was wanting an email confirmation that i just made a withdrawal request. besides I was told last week it would be 10-12 days. So i should expect checks from back logged withdrawals in about 5 days

I JUST CLOSED OUT THE CHAT AFTER THIS ******

I then go chat again with another rep......and to save everyone time...The other rep said the same thing as this rep..gave me the same cut/pasted script and answered the question I never asked...

Also..I asked him if the "processor issue was resolved" and he said NO

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

I am tired of guessing and waiting...I just called the book by phone...person I spoke with said that "the bank" was not going to start getting their customers their checks til the end of the month and that no checks have been sent out yet and the best thing for me to do was cancel all of my withdrawals and withdraw it in one sum (to save withdrawal fees) (good idea if i actually get the money) at the end of the month. So..some think they have checks on the way...some think the check will come next week..some think the end of the month..some think never....

Flyers I am sure you will get your money, It is not a cake walk for these offshore companies to find Banks and Processors that will deal with the US or process their payments. It has nothing to do with Money being in the bank, it is all getting it sent out.

I agree with Dirty. However sportsbook.com should've prepared for this processor down time..

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

When people say check processor, people think that means in house...it means the company that processes the checks from an outside company which is the delay.. Its not something that sportsbook can plan for. I could be wrong about this but i keep reading the same thing about processors.

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

What I don't like is that I got a confirmation e-mail saying my withdrawal would be sent within 48 hours when it clearly is not the case.. I would have appreciated an e-mail telling me about the delay instead of them posting a warning only after thousands of customer complaints.. To be honest sportsbook has always been very prompt with payment... when they did wires.. I hope this gets fixed soon or I'll be :+angry1-5 :+angry1-5 as hell!!!

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

I am sure they were told that checks would go out in that time frame, and it was after the fact that they found out about it... Certainly Not the most ideal time for some Sportsbooks who have been dropped by their Processors..

They have a bank and Processors that are working with US Customers.... You think it is so simple and easy, why don't you call all these sportsbooks and tell them where they can go to get Processors:doh1

i do not think The Greek would help Sportsbook.com with processing.. i'm sure they'd rather see sportsbook.com go down LOL

heh... i can relate to that sentiment. back in the day if i had a really ugly problem, i wanted to talk to sting or shrink or a mod directly via email or phone for this very purpose -- i didnt want to put my funds in jeopardy by posting & causing a panic. then again people were more reactive to threads just a few years ago than they are today.

i wouldnt worry too much; anyone who has a decent enough balance there to matter already knew sportsbook.com needs to scratch their heads for 3 weeks when faced with any operational irregularity, and that they usually come thru once the head scratchin' is done. plus, with all the bad shit in the offshore markets over the last 6 months, shellshock is your friend. i wouldnt think there would be a run on their bank.

The difference between these two books is that The Greek would find a way to do something about this if they were faced with it. They would sit there round the clock writing checks by hand if they had to. This is the kind of year that will separate the men from the boys as far as sportsbooks. Books that stay one step ahead like The Greek will keep business and those that don't will fall way behind.

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

plus, generally, they pay without any problem. i have faith they will come through, albeit a month late.

I never had any problems getting paid from them, even as recent as January. My feeling is everyone will get paid but this kind of delay has been inexcusable - as well as the canned CS responses on the whole matter.

Well guys i don't know what to tell you, i hope you receive your payment someday..
I just to bet on Pinnacle but now i bet on SBG and until now i don't have any problem with these guys. :cheers

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

Was a little encouraged by the fact they added a bank wire option for withdrawals so I decided to talk to a rep.. He told me they were not processing bank wires yet so I asked him why they added that as an option if they are not processing them and he said he did not know... I then asked him if we should still expect a 10-12 day delay and he said there is no timeframe but we will be paid.. Not looking good..:hung :hung :hung

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

If they were at all intelligent, they would not need to ask thegreek for their processors. They'd just open an account and withdraw by check and find out who they use. Then you call the processor.

This is not rocket science.

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

shrink - can you get someone from sportsbook to make a statement here? we really shouldn't have to wait over a month for OUR money. i was told the LATEST we will all be paid is friday, march 16, 2007. let's hope that is true. PLEASE, if you receive a payment, POST IT. THANKS!!! :(

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

That's the thing I.D... I can understand a delay but then they add a bank wire option but are not processing bank wires ??? Nobody can give a straight answer and they are not answering e-mails.. Anybody up for a little road or boat trip?? I just wish they were up front about them not having a processor etc..instead of "because of the large volume of checks there will be a 10-12 day delay".. I'll go get my money if they are not going to pay us..

:+clueless

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

bp - is it possible to go and get it sir? i am happy to pay the airfare....

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

That's the thing I.D... If they have no processor they cannot print checks I am thinking.. As for the bank wires they should start processing soon but they need you to call your bank first to get a swift/BIC code...:+clueless You notice how all the live chat reps have alias's, Lezlie Lewis, Tim Thomas, Dominic King, Bob Smith...?? They are still saying 10-12 business days from today so no I do not think we will be paid by the 16th..

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

10-12 days is a lot, If I see in the faq that a bookie processes the payments for so much time I would never join there, it looks a little strange.

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

I think all of us waiting payouts are cooked! I needed that money too. It is a shame ..I mean I never win anything in college bb...but the past 2 weeks I have been on fire and have worked up a nice balance I would like to have. I need a new lawn mower, shoes, clothes, etc..
Here is the latest and last chat I will probably ever do. It is just too sickening. Sounds like the same "checks in the mail" scenario we got from Neteller I'm telling ya.
My question is, why would the reps still be working here if they know people are going to be scammed and so will they like Neteller employees were. Also...who writes the checks to pay the sportsbook.com employees?????????

Please wait for a site operator to respond. Your chat should be answered within 1 seconds. Thank you for your patience.
Hello, my name is Eamonn Brown. How may I help you today?
You: straight up... are customers going to be paid or not...you have alot of angry customers out here...very angry..10-12 days has passed..now youre saying 10-12 days again...we've been told you have a processor and that you don't have a processor..we've been told yes bank wire is up and no is is not up...i'd like to know if i am going to be stiffed so i can move on with my life and quit having to wonder day to day
Eamonn Brown: Please accept our most profuse apologies for this unacceptable delay. However, there is no cause for undue concern. We hope that you can understand that we want to provide only the most reliable payment methods for our valued customers, and we ask you to please be patient whilst we strive to achieve this. The bottom line is, you will, most definitely, get your money.
You: when? 2 years?
You: we're getting tired of the pre written answers to our questions
You: so bank wires working or not?
You: processor exist or not? >
You: if you don;t have a processor then sportsbook.com employees have lied to customers

nothing after this from the rep.... SCARY isnt it

Re: Sportsbook.com WARNING Sign!!!!!

I understand the Frustration..but if you come across as a Jerk then I wouldn't come back either as a Low level CS Rep, when you can move onto the Next person and get someone with a better attitude....

This is not the CS reps fault...they do what they are told... If you want to fuss at people make a phone call and talk to a Manager or something. CS reps are not the enemy here....

FWIW I honestly believe you will get your money. I know there are not enough processors now. I am sure they thought they had one in place and if it didn't work out they should tell you..
