Belmont Race was very overrated as he beat only 4 horses and Sham was on tired legs after the brutal pace he set in the K Derby. Rest of the field was garbage.

Too bad the other Triple Crown hopefuls hadn't faced 4 horses in their quest to win the Triple Crown recently and a rabbit who set crazy early fractions in the K Derby who was his biggest threat in the race.

WILL DISAGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY.........THE WAS THE GREATEST PERFORMACE OF ANY HORSE IN A BIG RACE EVER..........NO ONE RUNS 6 IN 109 CHANGE IN A MILE 1/2 RACE AND IS STILL RUNNING AT THE END.........

I HAVE SEEN THEM ALL RUN, ***ER, KELSO, RUFFIAN, PRICLESS GEM, CIGAR......ONLY KELSO IS IN THE SAME CLASS AS SECRETARIAT.........

You're quite wrong buddy. Secretariat set a world record in the Belmont by more than 2 seconds, which is an eternity in a horse race.

If a jockey had their horse up by as much as Secretariat did today and had him run a full out sprint to the wire in a 1 1/2 mile race they would be called an idiot today.

No one has beat the record because no jockey would beat a bad field by as much as Secretariat did. The jockey would lose future mounts and tons of money for risking doing damage to the horse. The jock has to leave something in the tank for the next race. If they are up by as much as Secretariat and had the race won by the 1/4 pole against a garbage field its time to gallup home.

most jacked I have ever been was POINT GIVEN PREAKNESS the announcer went bananas when he pulled away in the stretch wish I could find that race online

What about Forego? I'd put him up against anyone! Kelso was the nuts, but no one is going to tell me Secretariat wasn't the best EVER!

SURE FORGO WAS ALSO GREAT AS WAS JOHN HENRY.......

VERY HARD TO COMPARE SHORT CAREERS AGAINST THOSE GREAT GELDINGS.......
