It's been a good year for me and I've decided to cash out from the sports betting world for a few weeks so I can focus on a big trip to The Venetian next month. Thanks to the WNBA and a few runs with football and basketball, I am up over 8 units for the whole year with everything. This week seems like I have been getting the typical "signs" needed to cash out - including two back door pushes in the same week that could have easily been losses if I did not get the right lines. Remember - a push is as good as a reload. And two pushes is as good as a payout.
I remember what a rough start I had to this year. I lost a lot during January and Feburary. The highlight was losing with the Seahawks on Super Bowl Sunday and that same day I also got banned by Western Union. But around that time was when I first signed on with EOG and I felt having people to turn to here was what gave me the confidence to keep going. We all go through up's and down's and I feel we're all here to share each other's pain.
EOG also gave me the confidence to write up a lot of plays during the year. I had a lot of fun with writing up WNBA picks during the summer and then got into writing about the NFL and NBA also. My time spent "across the street" never resulted in that for years. That place has had it's changes but it was a rebirth for me here on EOG as both a sports gambler and contributor. And I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that EOG has gotten even more valuable for all of us as time as gone on. We have got everything here.
I am looking forward to visiting Vegas again next month. The Venetian is offering a great deal for me then that was too hard to pass up. But I need a big bankroll there because in Vegas you have to go with everything, and I mean everything, you can afford to lose. So I have to cash out from the offshore world for a while but will "reload" afterward and will be back before the Super Bowl for sure. For now, all I will have going are the bowl contests and any other little action that might come up. I look forward to still following everything here on EOG and will try to still contribute where I can.
I wish a Happy New Year to everyone here! Thanks for all of the support and keep getting those reloads in!
